When I create something and present it with confidence, with any semblance of pride, someone inevitably shits on my parade by saying it's no good, it looks amateurish, I don't deserve to be spoken of in the same breath as any of the real artists I look up to. They work their asses off and produce professional-quality art every single time, so how can I even pretend to be in their league?

Okay. So next time I create something I hedge myself, I immediately backpedal, I acknowledge that I'm an amateur, I could have done better, I'm improving every day, and I humbly submit my work-in-progress with the full understanding that it is fundamentally lesser than that of my would-be peers... And then someone says that nobody likes self-deprecation. It's offputting. I must be fishing for compliments, and I don't deserve the time of day. Why would anyone want to look at my art if even I don't think it's worthy?

Okay. So next time I create something and post it with no context whatsoever. I simply let the art speak for itself... And then nobody sees it. It comes and goes like a fart in the wind. I may as well have not even posted it at all.

There is no level of enthusiasm I can have which is correct. Every choice I make is the wrong one. I can't advocate for myself without being told straight to my face that I'm an imposter. I know I don't belong in the upper echelon, but I have never been able to find my place in the lower one either.

I don't belong anywhere.

I am an outsider always.

So yeah, I feel robbed that Toph didn’t get her roadtrip so I’ll make it up in fanarts :D (also procrastinating on previous atla fanart because I’m bad at colors) Problem is I decided it would be quick sketchy silly thing... yeah all was fine until I realized I can’t use bucket fill for colors since the lineart is too loose >.< So as usual I overdid the thing (but at least I finished it :D)
