Okay so the whole idea of The Trial Of A Timelord is a terrible mess i thought. Redeemed (*almost* enough to forgive) by The Ultimate Foe, which i thought was rather good. The scene with Six being dragged down into the shingle by those grabbing hands was cool. The fight with the Vervoids in the episode before was quite good too, and helped me get over the emotional trauma caused by Brian Blessed shouting a lot in Mindwarp (yay Sil though! Sil is the best). The idea of the Valeyard is a wonderful one, and i love the Master swooping in to help his long-time foe. "You have an endearing habit of blundering into these things, Doctor." -- The Master ...and later: "Well i never thought i'd welcome the sight of you." -- The Doctor to the Master I really want to see more of the Valeyard at some point. Having experienced Dark!Eight in Caerdroia (who was so deliciously *nasty*) i want moooreee dark Doctor. Although i found Dark!Eight way more interesting, presumably because it's much more shocking seeing a Doctor we know acting so contrary. And Mel, oh goooddddd i can't *stand* Mel! Argh. It's like she walked straight out of Jackanory. And good god, stop screaming woman! Ugh. It was worth it for The Ultime Foe though.
