15 & 24
15: A song that is a cover by another artistMr. Grieves (originally by the Pixies) by TV On The Radiohttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Acopyx54fw8Mr. Grieves is probably my fav Pixies song (if you aren't allowed to pick the obvious answer of Hey) and Doolittle is a personally important album in a lot ways so p much any good cover of it I'm gonna like. but the TVotR cover is so different from the original and so brilliant in this mostly a capella form
24: A song by a band you wish were still togetherDeformative by Black Eyeshttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QTOy-IbqUPo Black Eyes trip like almost all of my triggers when it comes to things I like in rock music. It's the chaos of the messy vocals and guitar over the very controlled double percussion/bass set up, the constant build, the vaguely religious themes, the undirected confusion of being a young adult. I just fuckin love this band so much and its a shame they only had two albums
look at all these people that are touching my life whether i want them to or not
