Average temperature’s about 15 degrees, which is chilly for Athens but pleasantly warm for Edinburgh, so yeah! I won’t be doing much sunbathing, though.

According to my mum (who went there while interrailing during the 1970s) it gets unbearably hot during the summer, but should be much more tolerable in October; the hotel is within walking distance of the Acropolis, which should be convenient.

AAAAAH hooray!! It is nice to see her, and so relaxed to boot. I love the hat, but she does look nice without it too! Yikes, though. Healing from that burn cannot have been any fun.
It covers most of her back as well and was third-degree, so no, it was not! Fortunately the Saint George’s surgeon had plenty of experience dealing with burns; for obvious reasons, they’re a very common injury among dragon hunters.

There’s a public lending library an easy enough run from Whiterook Village, which is handy because the Whiterooks - like many rural clans - have never really got the hang of the whole ‘money’ thing.
