You heard a small noise that sorta sounded like a computer starting up. Ugh, you had dozed off, and now your back hurts from sitting against the wall. You attempt to pull your hand from Prologue's grasp, but it looks like the big loaf has tightened his grip.
"Ah, so you have charged enough to be awake now, hm?" You try not to sound too upset; you suppose the panic in your body is still sitting in your chest. Turning your head to look at the bot beside you, you're met with Prologue, who looks at you in wonder, which makes you confused. "Sunny?" The nickname falls from your lips, which Prologue's eye follows eagerly as if he's swallowing your voice with a look.
"You are... here. My darling." He whispers, he sounds tired and almost different? The tone of his voice is softer. Gentle even. "Yes?" You respond with a frown forming on your slightly dry lips. "I came to pick you up for our round." As you tell him this, it seems he stopped listening, his hand still firmly around your smaller one. His eye flickers to the door. You watch as his confusion grows, but for some reason, there's a hint of amusement. "Sun?" You move your free hand to snap a couple of times near his faceplate. "Focus, you old machine." The snapping continues until a clawed hand makes contact with yours, and clawed fingers curl around your hand to make the snapping stop.
Prologue looks at you. "That's not very nice." He says with a bit of humor in his tone, like it's funny that you're a bit angry at him. "I can hear you perfectly fine, darling." It sounds like he's slurring his words just a bit. He's trapped both of your hands in his now.
As you stare at him, he smiles at you, eye curious. "You look mad," Prologue tells you, and you roll your eyes before they turn back to his dark one. "I am a bit mad. You promised to charge, remember that? And then I came here to a locked door and no response, Sun. I had to call Moon, the nighttime attendant, because I did not have a key to your damn stupid room." You hiss, angry, but Prologue just watches you, eye crinkled, happy and content to be close to you. "Mhm." He responds.
You pout at him, then sigh. "Why didn't you charge, and why was the door locked?" Prologue looks at you for a long while before he lets out a slight hum. "The door was locked by accident. We are sorry. It's an old door, and the lock is just as old." He starts to look uncomfortable, and he shifts on the lousy pillow he's still sitting on while holding your hands. "We forgot to charge because... We kept thinking about you." He takes a deep breath, which he doesn't need. "We were thinking about how our lives would be outside of the plex with you." You swore you could see he was blushing. "... We got so lost in the images that we ran out of charge." He mumbles, thumbs stroking over your knuckles.
You pull your hands back from him, and he looks devastated from the loss of contact, but not for long, as you get up from where you're sitting. Standing in front of him between his spread long legs that splayed out on the floor. Your hands find the edge of his faceplate, and you tilt his head slightly up. "You and Moonie are idiots." Prologue frowns at your words. "But you're my idiots." You say, with a soft smile, which he returns.
Without further thought, your lips connect to the middle of his grin. His eyes flutter shut, and you manage to spy that the red eye had come online too. Your eyes close as you kiss your beloved robot. You feel that his faceplate shifts, and you feel him kiss you back. His hands snake their way from your ankles to your lower back, where they rest on your hips and squeeze.
The kiss continues for what seems like forever, which was fine with you and probably the boys as well. Yeah, you should be doing your rounds, but why do that when you can be in this shitty closet and kiss this huge hunk of metal instead? You snort against his grin, and you can feel it widen.
When the kiss parts, you open your eyes and smile at them. Prologue and Epilogue both look at you, a purr from their chest. "Hello, Starlight. Our bright galaxy." Epilogue says, and you giggle, just a bit. "Hello Moonie." You're still cupping their face, and they're still holding onto your hips.
You wouldn't want to be anywhere else.
