It had only been thirty seconds, but already the great beast was growing impatient, and he scrolled the Krov's booking system once again to ensure the order had gone through, before tossing the tablet on the side with a frustrated growl.

There were many, many things the ahool had sampled in his long existence, many meals consumed and many sexual encounters, but cambion...now that was a particularly appealing combination of demon and human which the councilman hadn't tasted before.

The tablet pinged loudly in the entrance hall, echoing in the sparse, almost clinical space. The slave was on their way. Bjorn found the helpful but equally unhelpful notification vexing beyond articulation.

Moving forward, he opened the door to his chambers and stepped outside, looking for the imminent delivery.

“All I’m saying is you should’ve been honest with her. I can tell there is more to the story Noah” Leah said trying to keep up “Whenever you’re trying to avoid a question you either walk ahead or rub your head. Right now you’re doing both”

“Leah, I’m rubbing my head because you’re giving me a headache. You seem to be more upset about my break up than me”

“Fine I’ll leave it alone but remember I know you. And I also know how to get info out of you” Leah said smirking 

“Oh yeah? How?” Noah said quickly turning to look at Leah, and raising an eyebrow

“Look, there’s Drew and Stacia!” Leah said quickly changing the subject

“Hey, what’s up guys?” Leah said walking up to Drew and Stacia

“Have either of you heard from Tay? He has Andrew’s math notes and was supposed to give them to me this morning. He’s not answering and math is my first period” Stacia said angrily 

“Well there goes my plan” Noah said under his breath

“Noah I haven’t talked to him since last night.” Leah said “He did mention he was staying the night over some girls house that goes to East Prep.”

“So my man obviously got some pussy last night and is in a post sex coma” Drew said laughing with Noah

“This is so not funny! This is the first test that’s open note and I have no notes” Stacia said rolling her eyes and sighing 

“Chill alright? How many minutes do we have before the bell rings? I’ll try to go over some of it with you” Drew said 

“We’ve got about...”

*BELL RINGS*

“Zero minutes” Leah said looking over at Stacia before walking over to her and hugging her. “It’ll be ok girl, you’ve got this.”

“Yeah I hope so. If I don’t pass this class, I can forget about getting a car for my birthday. Wish me luck!” Stacia said as they all walked off in different directions to class.
