I appreciate bees, and I do my best to protect them whenever people try to kill them, and I try to help them out whenever. But I never looked into them as much, and I’m learning sooo much from following you

Glad you’re enjoying it! I really love just talking about all the bee species. I mostly just ramble about australian native bees cause they’re all pretty neat.

That blue-banded bee is actually a solitary species of bee. Most bees aren’t actually esocial (live in hives)! Most of them are solitary! 

Another one of my favourites bees actually uses the blue-banded bees as a host; the neon cuckoo bee.

They’re parasitic, and go into the borrows of blue-banded bees and replace their eggs with their own (hence why they’re called cuckoo bees).
