Joining the Barbie meme bandwagon. Nobu and Hide go on a date incognito in Sakamoto (Akechi's castle) and IDK got arrested somehow. Akechi had to bail them out of "jail".

"Just his ride home" --> Nagahama runs the boat docks used to cross Lake Biwa. Azuchi and Nagahama are on the same shore. Sakamoto is across the lake.

I don’t remember if I shared this on Tumblr because I made the shitpost on Twitter first, but anyway. In one of the recent Ikesen JP events, there was this chibi where I thought Hide was kissing Nobu’s hand and I was like “This does not seem right”.

As you can see if you look at it closely he isn’t, but it was really small on my phone, so it’s not really my fault for seeing it wrong.

It’s Cybirb’s fault for making a misleading image dammit.

What actually was happening is Hide was kneeling and Nobu was just like “You may stand”

Especially not the sandals. You’re trying to flirt with some girl. Don’t bring up weird stuff like your servant warming sandals in his shirt. That’s such a huge mood kill if there is ever one. 

Did he ever warm anything else inside his kimono? Is that where you learned that snuggling is warm?

(WEIRD FOR ME, I ACCIDENTALLY FOUND THE NOBU/HIDE SHIP BECAUSE OF NOBU’S DAD AND NOW I CANNOT REFER TO HIM BY NAME ANYMORE BECAUSE I CAN’T UNSEE THE HORRORS)

Whenever I have sane moments don’t ship them, my headcanon is that Nobu was the one who gave Hide the “Hide” kanji itself to pseudo adopt him as a “sworn brother” of sorts because he reminds him of Dad :v 

For shipping it’s the same, just with a weird slant. Also the heirloom sword that Nobubu gave Hide is very :V in this context.

Nobu actually has brothers whose name is Hide-something, after all. Hidetoshi, Hidetaka... I think there was a third one that I don’t remember of the top of my head (THERE’S 12 OF THEM GIVE ME A BREAK).

(in Volteg-universe it’s shown that Hideyoshi’s original name is Toukichirou, and I don’t think we ever did find out where the “Hide” came from. Probably is meant to be assumed that he just made it up himself)

Speaking of secrets... I have a new headcanon. Nobubu hides stuff in that ginormous jar of konpeitou in Osaka Castle, all the while secretly hoping Hide would come and confiscate it and dump out the candies and then he’ll find the secret things he put inside >:D
