Tinder Date From Hell || Marian & Skye

Tinder dates for Marian were basically Free Test Subjects. She always suggested a date getting food, otherwise it’s difficult to literally slip them a potion. Since she had a voucher to a restaurant it made it a basically an instant yes. Until Marian found someone she was actually into, dates were for solely for work.

Todays potion was supposed to make someones hair grow about two inches within a few minutes. If it worked it’d be totally helpful for salons. She hadn’t tested it on anyone so today was the first ever trial.

Marian always tried to get to the date early, so she could slip the potion into the persons water before they even arrived. But her date arrived almost immediately after she did.

“Skyeeeee!!!” Marian sang out as she ran over to hug the man she’d previously only talked to through a dating app. She took his hand and began pulling him over to their table, “We’re over here.”

“…Ideally, I would be less hateful. Less cynical towards people, and the world.” As it stood now, Jake really didn’t give a fuck about how his brusque nature negatively affected others, or how people thought of him. 

But he didn’t like hurting Meg, and he certainly didn’t want his child to grow up being resentful towards him. Love had always been a foreign concept to Jake, but now that he had it, he could see that there were things in the world worth fighting and living for. He could know happiness again.

And that was something he didn’t want to let go. Something he wouldn’t mind having more of, either. But to achieve that… there were things he would probably have to change about himself.
