Trying to nail down what these characters look like and I think I'm finally getting somewhere.

Working on the next Observations from Nodd series, this time revisiting this drawing, where Furred Groups are introduced. I figured more than one character for each group would give a better idea of what Furred in that group would look like. Also, Sub Groups! Groups are cosmetic, the same way that the Humans are all the same species but divided via physical and/or social qualities. All Furred are the same species but the many different ways that species looks have been sorted into groups. It's mostly a language use case, so that when you're talking about someone they're easier to identify. "The Felis I met Today had pretty spots." Or, "The Equis at the boat show had painted her paddle boat pink." Sometimes you speak that non-specifically, but often you need to indicate more specific details when speaking about a person.
Sub groups are even more specific and niche. In a world built from stories and legends the creatures in those tales have fascinated Furred since the beginning of time. Here we have three Rodis Sub Groups, Jackalope, Wolpertinger, and Skvader. Still gotta do Cheshire Cats, and then decide where to go from there. If you have a favorite mythical creature or cryptid that's a hybrid of existing animals please drop them in my asks so I can include them! Names still pending. Not married to "groups" or "sub groups" but words like "clade" or "genus" felt too sci-fi for this Fantasy worldbuilding setting.
