The Wheel of Fortune: What are your character’s proudest successes?

“The very first time I summoned my Leviathan-egi. It was a harrowing and painful thing at the time, but it was a very important (and highly unlikely to succeed) event. I am proud of the gradual progress I’ve made in the utilization of it, too, though there isn’t one specific moment I could name as that ‘eureka!’ moment. It’s been a series of small successes leading to a greater whole.

In addition, I’m proud of Spellguard! I can’t believe it’s been around for an entire year. I hope it continues to be successful and bring mages together for fun bouts of spell-slinging.”

✓ - How do they react to praise?

Defiant starts by going bright red and stuttering denial, since she’s always quite caught off-guard by praise...! She also tends to chastise people for flattering her... her code word for ‘you’re lying to me because you want something’. In general, she’s... REALLY hesitant to accept praise and tends to mentally discount it unless she already knows the person giving it tends to be a bit of a hard-ass.

🐗 = What’s the grossest food you’ve ever eaten?

Shoshopu: “Oh, Twelve...! A tribal Xaela man in our company offered me some of his catch, one night, inviting me to suck one of the eyeballs out of his fish. I obliged, to be polite, but... urgh!” The Lalafell lurches. “It was disgusting.”

Eaubront: “I tried to cook a cactuar once. It was really bitter, and... sort of slimy... very strange. I wouldn’t recommend it.”
