As one of your many disappointed constituents, I'm sickened by your vote for DeVos. She has no experience nor qualifications when it comes to the educational system and the only thing she is capable of doing is cutting checks. This is obvious from your campaign donors lists, along with other Republicans.

Your constituents know your vote was bought; you are more loyal to your party than the people you are supposed to be serving.

You are part of a public service, [Senator’s Name.] Your personal opinions do not matter. The opinions of the people who put you in office overrule your friendships, your Republican camaraderie, your personal morals. If you cannot and will not serve the People, you will not sit in office.

Against Jeff Sessions:

In the 80s, Jeff Sessions was denied federal judgeship for his insensitivity to race relations. Looking at his own history, he has commented on the KKK being “OK” and has called civil rights groups “un-American.” Even Coretta Scott King – Martin Luther King, Jr’s wife – wrote against Session’s bid for federal judgeship, citing his eagerness to prosecute black men for legally using the absentee ballot system.

Now, you’re thinking about making him the Attorney General, a position of great executive power. Has the United States gone backward in time? Why are we allowing, enabling, and empowering racism and bigotry?

As your constituent, you shouldn’t even be entertaining the thought of Sessions as an Attorney General. The People have been raising their voices and Republicans have been soundly ignoring us. Newsflash: We don’t care about your relationship with Sessions. We don’t care what he’s given you or if he agrees with you. It is your duty, as our elected representative, to listen to us and vote according to our wishes. If you refuse to do so, then you are not fulfilling the obligations of your job. The People will remember and we will not let you remain in office.

Vote against Sessions as Attorney General, [Senator or Rep’s name], or you will no longer be fit to hold office in your constituents’ eyes.

A woman who refused to ensure that each state is complying with the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act was confirmed as Secretary of Education.

Let me repeat that: A woman who refused to ensure that students with disabilities get the resources they need was confirmed as the person in charge of their education. As someone who received special education services and then worked for four years as a TA in a special education classroom, that disturbs me.

A women who refused to promise to maintain schools as gun-free zones, and then had the audacity to claim her heart bled for the parents of those killed in school shootings, was confirmed as the secretary of education. The safety of the students and my old coworkers, as well as my brother and his fiancé who are educators, apparently isn’t as important as the “right” to own a piece of metal that has no purpose except to maim and kill.

Children's safety should not be a political issue. The right of children with disabilities to have a fair education should not be a political issue. How do we TEACH people that children's lives and their education matter? How do we start working with people who don’t give a damn?

Billionaire DeVos, conspiracy theorists, chicken little and theocrats swear by this stuff’s effectiveness and they claim a 90% improvement rate for kids with ADHD. They don’t produce nor do they have any documented proof or studies to back this claim up, but they don’t need it because they have faith.
