A Family Flayed Together Stays Together
@nodunking throwing a random starter your way
Tom was sitting on a chair in the garage, his mouth and clothes were covered in oil and god knows what. He just consumed so much toxic shit..But he felt ‘alive’..
Looking to his mothers urn that sat in the garage, it was pink. He often said hi or bye to her in the morning. And now he can’t help but feel more connected to the pile of ashes, than any of the birds chirping outside.
And god was it hot outside. It was still early morning, the sun hadn’t even full rose yet, and Tom could feel the sweat dripping off him.
Janet came out and he feels a hand begin to fix his hair.
“We have to get ready...”
Tom waits till Janet stops with the fixing of his hair, before he looks back and up toward her.
Janet looked exhausted, they all did. The sweat dripping down the side of her face was terrifying. They used to be people, now they are husks, shells of what they once were.
All Tom knows is he is hungry for more, and wants to consume. Wants to kill. Janet feels the same way, it’s under the skin like an itch.
Soon more will join them. Tom slowly stands, his head no longer hurting despite the blood that still is sticking onto him. Heather’s last mark on her dad. Cracking his skull open with a wine bottle.
Tom was about to enter the home, when he finally did run into his daughter. Now he was the last to get ready when normally he was the first in the house to be ready and gone for work already. They already had their toxic breakfast as a family...But still. Some part of Tom, is just happy he can see his daughter. That even if they are trapped as prisoners in their own bodies..To know she’s not alone in this. That he is here for her, with her, feeling all the pain she ever felt, knowing all the pain he caused. It feels right to be by her. To stay as a family though the thick..and the thin.
“You missed a spot dear..”
Tom says softly, reaching into his vest to grab his slightly dirty handkerchief, he flips it till there is a clean spot. Then reaching up he is gentle to wipe the bit of blood or dirt off his Daughter’s jawline.
Janet comes behind him now and gives a faint smile, it’s all a horror show.
“I have some hairspray in my room..Lets try and fix your hair a bit better. We have to look alive my dear.”
Janet smiles to her daughter and begins to lead her toward her bedroom at her boudoir. Tom takes his moment then to go and take a shower.
