Noel Gallagher's "It's a Beautiful World" remixes: new details + preview
"There are some great remixes of [Beautiful World] by Andrew Weatherall and Mike Pickering and Graeme Park. [Andrew has] done this real deep, acid rock version of it, and Mike and Graeme have done this Haçienda classic version of it," says Noel of the two remixes.
And so they have.
"Mike Pickering and I, we were at Noel Gallagher's 50th birthday party. [And Noel] said, 'I really want you to remix a track from my forthcoming album!' This was last May, and we said, 'We'd love too.' And then he sent us It's a Beautiful World, which is a great track, very beautiful psychedelic track. And the brief from Noel was, 'I want you to make it into something that YOU would play when you're DJ'ing, something that you would play at Haçienda'. So, we kept the vocal, we kept the guitar and threw everything else in the bin, the digital bin. We slowed it down a bit," Graeme Park says of their remix.
He continues, "I'm very proud of it. Mike and I are very proud of it."
A week before solid details were revealed of a full single release for, 'It's a Beautiful World', the former Oasis frontman also dropped the official video for the track.
For Andrew Weatherall's remix of the Noel Gallagher track, 'It's a Beautiful World', two versions are known to exist at this time of writing. An edit at 4 minutes and a 9 minute 'vocal mix' version. The 4 minute edit remix track is officially titled, 'Andrew Weatherall Remix'. We suspect the 9 minute longer version is called 'Andrew Weatherall Remix - Vocal Mix'. But we do not know the actual title of the extended 9 minute version.
Graeme Park and Mike Pickering's remix of the track has also been released in another preview, called 'Park & Pickering's 21st Century Nude Remix'. Here too a short 6 minute edit is known to exist, as well as an extended version, of which we do not know the official full title of yet as well.
No vinyl releases are scheduled for the 4 remix tracks by the respective re-arrangers. Though, we do expect a Record Store Day 2018 exclusive goodie here from Gallagher!
