He’d been in a MIDDLE OF A RECORDING SESSION, she knew that much because he’d texted her; but she couldn’t wait to give him the news. She’d texted him to CALL HER BACK fifteen times, picking up almost instantly when he finally returned her call, bouncing on her heels as she listened to him speak. “No-- no, there’s no emergency, baby, I’m FINE, I promise, I just,” she took in a breath, letting it out slow. “I know we didn’t hear back from them when you were here in New York but-- Kara FINALLY got the call and, well, I’m a Disney girl now,” she squeaked, giggling. “I’m SO HAPPY!”

  Quando foi alertado de que estava tendo um ataque dos capangas de Pinguim na área afastada da cidade, Dick se dirigiu o mais rápido possível para poder detê-los, ainda mais que ele estava próximo de desvendar um dos crimes de assassinato que Batman havia lhe dado e que seus antigos alvos abatidos haviam informado de que o próprio vilão estava envolvido. Ao chegar no local, o mascarado apenas observou os vilões desmaiados no chão e uma garota de pé, na qual fez a sua curiosidade bater ainda mais forte. “Com licença, eu acho que não nos conhecemos, mas... você poupou muito do meu trabalho de bater nesses caras.” respondeu com um sorriso no rosto. “Eu posso saber quem é você e porque está aqui?”

she wasn’t expecting any hugs when he came out that room or him burying his face in her hair tossed over her shoulder. but she still held him tightly, still trying to be gentle with the super strength. bubbles didn’t say a word, at first. but she was curious and it might help him if they talked. besides, one of them had to break the silence sometime. “boomer, what happened in there?” she didn’t want to break that hug first, especially since, to her, it seemed like he needed it.

“Uhhh---obviously NOT. Do ya’ see this, Kev? My glass is empty, that’s an atrocity to the world !!” He’s not even sure if he’s getting his words out, they feel slurred. He can’t even remember how much he’s drunk or what else he had tonight. Everything muddled together making him more fucked up than he realized he was.
