1. FAKE DATING!!! (Undercover and Marriages of Convenience  being my favorite variety). There is never enough.

3. AUs. They are weakness and I love them whether they’re in a bookstore, coffee shop, canon divergence, the wild west, in a band, in space, I don’t care I adore them all.

Dude I'm the same way. I feel like I'm way more upset by last night's The 100 than I should be. Especially since I didn't actually full on ship Clexa. Because it's not about that. It's about the fact that I'm so incredibly tired of seeing what little representation I have being killed off left and right. And if they, by some miracle, aren't killed off, they are treated horribly. Or their sexuality is their only defining quality. I'm so fucking done with it. (Part 1/2)

(Part 2/2) And I immediately thought of The Leslie. I thought, this is at least something I have to look forward to. This is going to be good. But it’s so little in the wide scope of media. And it’s so incredibly unfair. We need to change things. It makes me want to do whatever I can to start producing my own LGBT content. Content that doesn’t mistreat LGBT characters or use them as plot devices. Content that treats them as people. Because I can’t just keep living with this treatment.

This.  Just.  All of this.  I am so tired of what it is that we’re being given and what we’re seeing.  lest we forget, if we do get LGBT characters that aren’t mistreated, if they’re two women they tend to be overtly sexualized as well.  

What gets me even more, beyond my own frustration, is that Lexa/Clexa meant a lot to SO many people.  So many young, under represented, queer wlw.  And to hear their frustration and see their disappointment and devastation.  It just makes the frustration worse.

It is so little in the wide scope of media.  And it frustrates me that we have to take it upon ourselves.  Because, at the end of the day, even that is difficult.  Because Hollywood and the world tends to work and operate against us.  But if we can make content for ourselves.  And support one another.  And spread THOSE messages.  And let the world see that there is more to us than what they think there is.  Then maybe, hopefully, someday we’ll start to see a bigger acceptance and change.  

Let’s give them the right kind of hell to be reckoned with.

Hibiscus and lavender

hibiscus: do you like when people try to start a conversation with you?Yes!  I am so shy (getting better about it).  But definitely still super shy.  So I really appreciate it and like it when people start conversations with me.  Because me trying to do so can be on the difficult side.
