speak your fucking truth twin you and your big brain oh my god theyre so doomed soulmates in every universe
fated partners my beloved, theyre so precious to me 😭 i wonder how much they remember from the reset
They are doomed soulmates in every universe OMG. Platonic soulmates, romantic soulmates, even enemy soulmates and I don't even know how that'd work.
I imagine it'd be somewhat like Head Engineer and the Captain where they remember the entirety of it, but they just hadn't had as chaotic of a time as those two did. Like, the majority of their time was spent doing business as usual, before one or two days/nights of something/multiple things that are strange and abnormal occuring before everything went out.
For Noir I think it'd be a bit more strange, since Noir Mark is almost like Head Engineer Mark in that he's on the Invincible II and meets with the Stability Agency. So him and his partner were more aware of something going wrong. In a universe where they are not in space and more like a classic noir duo in a city, they'd just have the same experience as everybody else. That being something suddenly starting to happen, before realizing that that something is going to be the end of everything. I imagine that that something was probably strange rumblings of the ground that everybody around them claimed were just minor earthquakes.
For Date Mark and his Y/N, I imagine that when they reset, they're back at the beginning of their date. So, they decide to go through the carnival again, instead holding hands and going to all the rides, games, and food stalls they missed the first time due to remembering doing it the first time they tried going through this date. So, they get to do everything at this giant carnival because they get to go to the carnival twice, essentially. What they noticed that caused them to realize something is that people started disappearing from the carnival if they looked away from them. Yet, nobody else notices this, so it's sort of them vs the carnival-goers in trying to warn them.
For Murdock and his partner in crime, I had in mind the idea that the stars suddenly started disappearing one by one. Yet, everybody else also notices the stars disappearing, because their universe is based around horror. What is more scary than a sudden, mortifying cosmic event? So the people in universe, despite not having an awareness of the multiverse, are susceptible to realizing the occurrence due to the horrifying nature of it. So they heard that the stars were disappearing on the news, then decided to go check if they really were by stargazing in the backyard of one of their houses. Once the reset hits, they're back at the beginning of the day, but realize that the news doesn't mention the stars disappearing anymore. That, and the stars are back.... and nobody remembers them disappearing despite the last few hours consisting of people flooding the streets, pointing to the sky, and screaming in panic as each star vanished.
So, they all remember everything that happened in their universes up until their final moments, like how Head Engineer Mark and the Captain remember everything that happened to them in the wormholes. It's just that, besides Noir Mark and his partner in the universe we saw, none of their universes were fully aware of what was happening until they were basically already gone. For them, it felt like "one strange day, one TERRIFYING day of realizing that everything is going to be destroyed... Oh, we're back?" followed by realizing that, for some reason, they're the only ones who remember that strange day and the destruction. Yet, in the background, the whole paradox and multiverse collapse was occurring over the course of months, maybe even years of their time, depending on how you want to interpret the "all those lifetimes" part of ISWM.
