Last year some 200 cherry trees were uprooted and destroyed by Arabs in the region.
The terrorists are aiming particularly at the cherry trees because Gush Etzion holds a much-anticipated cherry festival every year that attracts Israelis and tourists from all over the country.
A grove of 50 newly planted trees in the Jewish community of Nokdim, in eastern Gush Etzion, were also uprooted – and stolen by Arab thieves – after they were planted in memory of terror victim Ori Ansbacher, z’l, across from her home community of Tekoa.
