tags: Yorozu Baku/Odaka Kensei, fluff with a sprinkle of angst, hcs, mostly post canon thoughts granted they both live lol, post episode 25 spoilers.
-Baku absolutely pursued Nox, I genuinely don't think Nox would ever make a move. I do think Baku has a sort of saviour complex so the whole misguided angle on Nox was very appealing to him. but it kind of bloomed from there into something more real.
-Nox actually denied him at first, citing opposite sides. But Baku was very persistent in showing him that /people care/ about him, including himself. I think it takes a lot of work and navigation on Baku's end to get it through to Nox that he's serious.
-Baku has really limited relationship experience, the whole awful luck thing kind of makes it hard. But he persists. Kind of old timey about it because he googles how to "court" someone because well Nox is old right surely that's how its done.
-Flowers, so many flowers. Nox knows flower language and Baku doesn't, so while it is embarrassing for Nox to be receiving flowers from this man it is also a bit amusing because he's giving him mourning bouquets occasionally.
-Baku likes Daniel Craig's James Bond(duh), but Nox surprisingly likes Craig as Benoit Blanc. I wouldn't say it was a "date", but one of their first "bonding exercises" was alternating Craig's movies in those departments.
-Speaking of Baku googling how to court someone, Nox eventually did find out from someone else that was what he was doing and. yes, unfortunately he found it very endearing. There is a level of effort there that somewhat flusters him.
-Okay for actual fluffy hcs, Nox isn't big on pda but does immediately flush when Baku grabs his hand while they're walking outside together. And Baku goes for the whole interlacing fingers and everything. The first time he did it Nox nearly jumped out of his skin.
-When they share a bed, Baku almost always ends up on top of him. Bakuket. It annoyed Nox at first but now he's used to it, he'd be lying if he said he hated it. It's quite comforting.
-Baku bought a little butterfly nightlight for Nox so that it isn't completely dark in his room when they stay together. Nox is SO EMBARRASSED by it but it also makes his heart race cause Baku was thinking of him ??? gah.
-Despite having different styles, they regularly share clothes. Nox likes to steal Baku's sweaters specifically, and Baku tends to steal his turtlenecks. Their sleepwear ends up in the same drawer after a while and Nox chuckled the first time he saw Baku in those white pjs of his from the cabin episode lol
-I love the trope of "put on the wrong coat while hastily getting dressed to leave" but they did that with each other's capsems a couple of times. I just think they should trade powers occasionally, and the fact they know each other well enough to do so.
-Nox doesn't really tell people they're "together", and covers his red face when Baku does. He kinda feels too old for the whole "boyfriend" thing but Baku is very insistent on "my boyfriend!!" Nox calls him "my partner" but keeps it vague enough for whether he means agent partner or romantic partner lmao- Baku tells Minami first ^^
-When Nox is the one to arrange dates they tend to be very romantic or upperscale, we know he has some money to blow from the painting episode and he tends to spend it on those he likes rather than himself. Lots of nice restaurants, rooftops. Galleries too, Baku has a surprising eye for art.
-Baku on the other hand tends to arrange smaller things, more casual. Picnics and home movie dates are up there. He likes to read cooking magazines to try and find inspiration for his picnics.
-Nox isn't super picky about movies or genres, he's more than happy to watch whatever Baku puts on. Even if that means rewatching the same old spy movies again and again.
-For an important date, Nox reaches out to a small local theatre. One of the indie ones. To arrange a showing of Baku's favourite spy series. He was very persuasive about it. Definitely one of the most outwardly romantic things he did.
-Baku likes to make gifts, he can't usually afford gifts, so lots of crafts. Those embroidered shorts he owns, I like to think he made a matching pair for Nox. Nox would never really admit it but he loves them. He finds Baku is an incredibly thoughtful partner.
-They both have nightmares, a lot of nightmares. Nox's tend to be worse but Baku has ones that are harder to wake him up from. Because Nox struggles to wake Baku up, he'll hold him and pet his hair. Mumble sweet nothings in English until he stops squirming and his breathing steadies out. On the flip side, Baku tends to wake Nox up instead. Nuzzles him and kisses his all over his face until he groggily wakes and calms down.
-They both inspire each other to get out of the house more at least. And 6/10 times Baku steals Nox's oversized coats cause they're nice and comfy. But that's fine, Nox has his sweaters in turn.
-Baku drools on him all the time when they sleep together and Nox just kind of accepts it tbh. He's always the last to fall asleep of the two as well. But the Bakuket makes up for the drool.

Heeeyyyyyyyyyyy wanna see some of my OCs? The top is a girl named Meredith, and the bottom is a boy is named Noku (no idea why, just sounded cool). Meredith is a very knightly girl and overly dramatic, while Noku is more reserved and fears being around people due to how some receive his ugliness.
Maaaayyyy explain their story later, when I get to it. Right now, I have a crap ton of other stuff I wanna do.
