Fin didn’t like the fact that Sasha didn’t even touch the ice cream. And when those tearful blue eyes looked up to her, her heart sunk into her stomach and she set the ice cream aside in a to-go cup and pulled her child close to her and hugged her tight. “I don’t know, love. This country runs on men telling everyone else what to do…” She murmured and nuzzled against her head.

“But..I’m sure that if I plea this case enough and show that I am responsible for you, then it will all be alright and I can finally have you.” She murmured and stroked her hair a bit more. “…and if anything, I think Turin will be proposing soon…and he knows how much you mean to me that he would welcome you with open arms just as I have. And then you’ll be ours…”

Sorrowful tears rolled down her cheeks, the child pressing herself close to the only parent she had ever known unsure if they would be separated. There would never be enough ice cream to fix the hole that separation would puncture in her heart, nor was any wanted until she was sure of her housing.

“But what if they don’t like Turin because you tell him what to do? What if they want someone who will tell you to take out the trash and make dinner?“ Worry sparked upon her words, bringing an edge to her tone and another rush of tears.

“I should hope not,” Maedhros eyed her wearily as he wiped the blood from his mouth and kicked the husk of some unfortunate human away. He didn’t feel too terribly bad about it. He hadn’t eaten in weeks and humans always smelled so much better than orc. He drew his tongue over his teeth as if to clean them and looked back towards her. 

“You have been training with my personal guard for a month now. It would do me no good if you were afraid of monsters.” He tucked out a squire of plain linen and wiped his face and then his gore covered hand,  a rumble of displeasure in his throat as he scrubbed at a stubborn blood stain on his right arm. “Now if there are any other comments you would like to make, now would be the opportune time.”

Legolas was a common sight in Greenwood Industries; everyone whispered about the beautiful Golden Prince that nearly floated through the halls as he checked in with his father and pulled rare smiles from the ‘King.’ A smile was set firmly on his lips as he waltzed into his father’s office, not bothering to knock. Most people that would meet with his father (both competitors and partners alike) were easily charmed by the boy’s easy grin and attitude. 

The man in with his father now, though, stole his breath away. Blond, tall, muscular. It would be easy for that man to pick him up and press him against the wall of glass separating them from the rest of the office. Shaking his head, Legolas extended a hand to the man. “Hi! I’m Legolas, the real boss here,” He joked, tilting his head innocently.

Fintuilasse closed her eyes as he freed the woman from her own escape of this war-torn world. She prayed to whomever was listening that they would take pity upon her soul, for who knows what she was truly feeling upon her time of death. She heard the nomadic king speak of how her husband was robbed from her not long ago. She nodded her head softly at his explanation before looking back to the woman. She may not have lost a husband, but Fin had lost much. Her kingdom, her father, and her companions. But, she knew she had to push on…she had to survive for their safe.

“She must have been suffering a great deal…” The blonde spoke softly and let out a long sigh. “I cannot think exiting this world by your own hand can be an easy thing…”

Margöz came down from the tree with an agile movement. Another of his men covered the body of the deceased with a black shroud, and between three men, lifted her body from the wet autumn ground to take it to its final resting place. The Easterling looked to the north, every day the sky was darker, as black as if it were its own shroud advancing to cover every corner of the earth where the sunlight placed its warm embrace. He tried not to have thoughts of the dead, although this was difficult, most of the Eldar strongholds had fallen one after the other, and only small isolated settlements stood on the edge of darkness where men and elves lived together trying to survive. The serpents of Margöz scrutinized the slender figure of the Elda maid.

"Just look north and you will know that we don't have much time left. She simply wanted to reduce her agony." He paused for a moment. "Someone is going to have to take care of their children."

Finduilas laughed brightly at her companion’s words. “Yes. I told you, my father could be quite the annoyance.” The blonde patted Níenor’s shoulder and shook her head. “I say putting up with his nonsense for hours on end deserves a good glass of wine.” 

SHE SMILED BRIGHTLY AT THE ELLETH'S WORDS, after all a glass of wine would be always welcome. She did not believe her father spoke of nonsense, simply for a LONG TIME and Niënor could not bear it any longer. Still, when Finduilas agreed they should leave, she found herself RELIEVED.

  HE SPOKE NOT OF NONSENSE, BUT I WILL GLADLY ACCEPT THE WINE, she kept the smile, a lighter tone in her voice to her previous ones. Say, we could perhaps take a walk in the woods tonight  it is way too warm and LOVELY to stay inside.
