Writing white on white seems a bit weird – in that case it was justified as I'm matching the ink to the paper. The project I had the pleasure to work on last week involved this off-white paper and colored paper. I find that bright white ink just doesn't fit in such cases. So I mixed just a tad ochre colored gouache to my favourite white ink – Dr. Martin's Bleed proof white. Voilà! (Also a #noliftmajuscules warm-up 😉) :: Weiß auf Weiß …? Das brauchte ich in dem Fall für ein wunderschönes Projekt, in dem die Kundin dieses cremefarbene sowie verschiedene farbige Papiere einsetzen wollte. Weil die hochweiße Tinte direkt aus der Flasche in dem Fall zu kalt wirkt, habe ich einen Hauch ockerfarbige Gouache dazugemischt. A rather classical G for #noliftmajuscules – also a letter where I usually would lift the pen before writing the stem 😉. :: Ein klassisches Copperplate-G mit einer extra Schlaufe – nach einer Vorlage von Valliciergo, einem spanischen Kalligrafen aus dem 19. Jahrhundert. A complete fail at #noliftmajuscules 😅! I've watched with pleasure several of the entries to this fun challenge, thanks @anintran! This D, however, that was intended for my first entry, turned out to very vehemently refuse to be written without a lift!! I hope you enjoy it anyway. It's after a D from my favourite golden-age penman Courtney. Do you also have letters that just can't be done without a lift (other than the obvious ones with a cross stroke)? :: Bei manchen Buchstaben muß ich einfach absetzen! Dieses D gehört eindeutig dazu. Here's a total fail at #noliftmajuscules 😁! I watched this challenge since it started, it's really interesting to see how differently people approach writing majuscules – thanks, @anintran and @sarahscript 😀! I realized that this is a version of D that just totally refuses to be written without a pen lift. I hope you enjoy it anyway!
