Working on handwriting as well as other doodles.
Idk about you guys but watching The Terror has made me try to work on my baseline more lmao it’s crazy seeing letters and other stuff with perfect baselines… I mean usually I write on lined paper but it looks way better on blank paper.
as well as I just learned how small the writing is on the Victory Point Note… I mean whoah.
I think my Spencerian looks good for someone who only started using it last night. The other script I used was Carolingian, which is again, something I only picked up recently. I've been practicing various versions of textura over the years and I wanted to try something new.
I have a commission slot for these open over on my ko-fi now, for $20 (AUD), but for now I'm just doing whatever I think is funny. I'm also planning to set up character art commissions at some point, but probably not for a while because here in Aus the weather is warming up and I don't deal well with that.

I taught an excellent Copperplate Script Workshop on the weekend. New set up, new recoding system, multiple camera angles. It will be up and available soon! During the workshop I wanted to show the students something more specific about the basic strokes and had to pull out an old handout from 2006. I wanted to see what the difference would be if I redid it with a Hunt22b and a Gillott303. Gillott 303 is the first image, then 22b, then the original. I have 17 sheets in this pack some of them dating back to 2001, 2003 & 2005. I can see bits of my 4Fold Symmetry in here but nothing substantial and certainly nothing overarching.
