My second set of Star Wars Legends characters! Last time it was all Jedi, so I thought a good change of pace would be including nothing but antagonists this time. Also yeah, I was aiming for May the 4th, but I tend to be a bit too optimistic about how long things take to draw. 😅 Anyway, who from the old expanded universe should I draw next?

I love Nom Anor, the guy has the coolest Yuuzhan Vong design, effortlessly pulls off that lich necromancer look, but then he's just some lame admin nobody respects, Yuuzhan'tar's biggest loser bureaucrat with rancid middle-manager energy, his colleagues all fucking hate him, always one fuck up away from execution, when he finally starts fantasizing about killing his boss, he falls back in line at the end anyways, he just can't overcome his yearn for the toxic work-place environment

The New Jedi Order: Star By Star This is a drawing to celebrate this amazing, hard and sad novel which is Star By Star.

this is the most ambitious drawing for me. I used a lot of medias: graphite pencils, alcohol markers, colored pencils, acrylic and Procreate. "Why do we have to die. For us to see the light?" Starvation, Aurora

favorite thing about them - he's a very effective villain, he's underhanded and plays to his strengths

least favorite thing about them - well, he's an enemy of our heroes and does real damage to them

OTP - noone comes to mind, Nom Anor isn't the type for romance anyway

Excited to share this! I really enjoyed Legacy Expo earlier this month in Burbank, California, and everyone there got to hang out with the authors and see all the creativity involved in the classic Star Wars EU. On top of that I was asked to moderate this panel for the New Jedi Order series with several authors (James Luceno, Matthew Stover, and editorial assistant Enrique Guerrero) based off my work with the NJO documentary series earlier this year.

Being chosen to lead the panel was a tremendous honor and we had a great chat, talking about writing the next generation of heroes, the joys of writing evil with Nom Anor, and Ganner's unforgettable moment. Enjoy! (and shout out to @legacy-expo!)
