Little Nightmares VR: Altered Echoes
Just a little sketch from one art challenge don't mind me ✨️
Always happy to draw Mono and Six together eheh ;з;✨️
reading NoME again and there's an interesting part relating arwen and aragorn's relative ages:
also I had a conversation with somebody about peredhel aging (might have been at the aderthad??)
some interesting things here:
the default peredhel settings is the pre-Darkness maturity rate (50:1) plus beleriand aging rate (100:1)
does this mean the pre-Earendil&Elwing peredhel got the 10:1 post-Darkness beleriand elf rate or the 1:1 human rate?
the luthien settings (marrying a human) involve automatically switching to human aging upon marriage, presumably related to the feä/osanwë marriage bond?
Vardamir got the Choice (!!)
did all of elros' kids get the Choice and choose to live as Men, or is Vardamir still somewhere as a gondorian loremaster (or hanging out in elrond's library)?
the long youth multiplier converts the post-Darkness 10:1 maturity rate to the peredhel default 50:1, but converts elros' overall 3:1 aging rate to 6:1?
WHAT OF DIOR
bonus:
kinslaying is a mildly effective anti ageing treatment. somehow
The is litterly the cutest thing I've ever seen from this franchise I swear to god-

Due to Celeborn having no liking for the Dwarves, I think that seeing him fighting side by side with them to save Eregion would have been fascinating. And at least in one version, it did happen:
Celeborn and Amroth with Nandor and Dwarves come through Moria to the west.
In this one rendition of the story Celeborn, who would not cross Moria to leave Eregion to its fate (even though he DOES cross it alongside Galadriel and Noldorin Exiles), came through Moria when push came to shove and he had to do everything in his power to help his people.
If ROP had bothered to include Celeborn at a time when he SHOULD have been present, the glimpses we get of his character imply a very interesting character-arc.
And I love those glimpses because in Tolkien's work Celeborn's dealings with the dwarves are not something that gets resolved in an easy, unbelievable way. Celeborn masters the courage to engage with them and to go through Moria in times of need. And this certainly affects him (after all Celeborn receives Gimli very politely in the beginning) but it does not outright heal him or erase his trauma, which naturally manifests when his heart is troubled.
Woah, you know what? Two art posts in one day-
Here's a Nome from Little Nightmares! I sculpted this little guy about two months ago but only finished painting it recently, so it's finally time to post it.
I gave it a cup to hold just because it looked kinda weird standing there with its arms by its sides, and the candle is there just because I needed to have some sort of support for the body while I was sculpting the legs. Still not sure just what this Nome is doing, but you know, the Nowhere is full of mysteries.
