A few of my friends went to Colossalcon in ohio and told me it was pretty banging so now im pretty interested in going. Where are you from that you have to fly to Baltimore?

Boston. I used to live in Delaware and that's when I started going (it's like an hour and a half away to 2 hours from there). This year I was convinced I couldn't make it due to work and the distance/cost. But some good friends I roomed with last year kept asking and I decided to check and see and found out I could actually go.

Plus I'm basically going to run it as an early birthday bash (it's the 9th-11th, my birthday is the 14th) so I decided that really there was no reason I shouldn't go :3

whhhaaaaaa thats awesome. one of these days I need to go to a con of some sort. Jealous much.

Otakon is one of the larger cons which is neat and is known for getting a lot of great talent and premiers. I think this year they're doing the US premier of the Rurouni Kenshin live action movie and last year I saw the premier of the Tekken Blood Vengeance movie (the CGI one)

Otakon is also known for its raves and there's a few people who actually attend just for those since it's 2 nights and they always get pretty well known area DJ's.

What con are you going to?

Otakon in Baltimore. It's an anime/game/really everything nerdy/Asian con and they do panels on everything from Toonami to Nintendo to hilariously bad anime to K-Pop. Pretty much ANYTHING goes in terms of dressing up. I've seen everything from Adventure Time cosplays to Lolita dresses to Master Chef (it was a guy as Master Chief with a spatula and a chef's hat)

The only I can't do is large props/weapons because I am flying and won't be able to fit them in my baggage
