New orleans is a city i stumbled upon and never thought I'd live in but it happened since i had family near the southshore of la. But now, it is SUCH a sham of gentrified touristy lost of soul Bullshit city. The locals/ blacks that are still either working regular jobs or struggling to not be in the shadows of all the non blacks coming in and pushing them further into poverty. I moved there in 2016 left in 2018. The loss of substance/soul, diversity, character has dwindled more n more as the years go by. Of course the city officials don't care about things like this because more money is coming in by their being plastic and white friendly. It's literally like the only change to nola was the year as far as the segregation that is still VERY alive not only in nola but lousiana and the south alone. For people to still be fawning over these places is evidence of how ignorant and souless many humans are.
