Since there's a post going around showing undocked long-tailed sheep, allow me to introduce to you my favourite naturally short-tailed sheep
Gamalnorsk sau!
It's widely considered our oldest type of sheep, maintaining traits that were found in Norwegian sheep nearly 5000 years ago. It's a close relative of the various spælsau.
Gamalnorsk sau should be small, agile, and sure-footed, with great variety in colour and markings. Rams should be horned, but ewes can be polled.
They're also known as villsau (wild sheep) and utegangarsau, meaning they are adapted to living outdoors all year in coastal areas. Coastal Norwegian winters are relatively mild. They're able to feed and maintain themselves on poorer plants such as heather and kelp.
Gamalnorsk sau shed their wool, and are picked rather than shorn. Their wool is not particularly long, as long wool collects snow and debris and can be quite cumbersome. There is a clear distinction between the fine underwool (tel) and coarser outer wool (tog). The short tail (spæl) has hair but isn’t woolly.
The breed is alert and upon sensing danger, gather quickly in flocks and may disperse in different flight patterns. Here's a video comparing a flock of Norwegian white sheep to a flock of Gamalnorsk when introduced to a stuffed bear.

sometimes I just get homesick.

Do I have any followers from or around Turkey?
i’m looking for a specific kind of tea. it has become my life’s mission at this point.
fun tip:
if you stumble upon a flagged post in your archive that tumblr hasn’t notified you about and won’t let you access to even see what is, because this site is a dumpster fire, and clicking it only gives you the “uh oh this is for adults so we’ve hidden it!!” page, you can: keep your archive open in one tab, use another tab to change your blogs visibility settings to dashboard only. clicking the post in the archive will then take you to dash view where you can appeal it.
because a) the ‘we’ll notify you if we flag something!’ is bullshit and b) tumblr really does try very hard to be less user friendly with every update.
