Fandom Problem #4818:
I think one of the things that fandoms need to come to accept that a piece of media isn't always necessarily 'garbage' or just 'written bad'. Sometimes, a piece of media just isn't for you and that's fine. Just because something wasn't to your liking doesn't mean it's not good. This doesn't mean it shouldn't be criticized and given your honest opinion but sometimes you should have more of an open mind than just "I didn't enjoy this so it must be bad!!!"
Discworld fans: *posting about the Glorious 25th of May*
The non-Discworld side of Tumblr:
One of the things that bothers me about the Finale (outside of the story) is that I had hoped that it would be something that we could all be excited about and would attract the attention of new fans so that we, the Discworld fans, could then swoop in with all our recruiting speeches and sermonize like Constable Visit-The-Infidel-With-Explanatory-Pamphlets to be able to share Discworld with new readers.
But as it stands, I feel like people are going to be less inclined if their first introduction is hearing about the Finale, or that it might even scare people away.
