They both go by they/them pronouns (which several ut characters do btw) and its a major plot point that they are not the players self-inserts, and in fact the game criticizes the player for assuming that. But sure, do mental gymnastics to erase our rep for no good reason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My favorite they/it of all time.
(If you think Frisk, Chara, and Kris aren’t canonically nonbinary then this post isn’t really a discussion that’s meant for you.)
I keep seeing certain headcanons about Frisk/Chara/Kris and I just wanna know other people’s thoughts on it?
There are people who agree that the KFC gang are all nonbinary, but use she/her or he/him pronouns on them because they headcanon them to use those. I know that pronouns don’t always equal gender. Anyone of any gender can use any pronouns they want. But.. Isn’t it disrespectful to use he/him or she/her on characters that canonically use they/them? The Undertale/Deltarune fandom already misgenders them enough because of the false “open to interpretation” rumor. Even if you still think of them as nonbinary, isn’t that only adding to it? It’s rare for video game characters to use they/them pronouns and I feel like it’s odd to take that away as a headcanon???
Idk, I could be wrong. I just question it whenever I see that.
