Seeing as the entire anime is some kind of weird fanservice, the author had to pander to the siscons eventually. As terrible as that sounds, it didn’t really surprise me.

I mostly only watched it through to the end of the second season because it had some good fight scenes (and also I was hoping it would get better, which I should know better than to do by now - it never does)

The animation might be the only good part about it. A shame that it had to be wasted on SAO.
