Hey jsyk THE FLASH THOMPSON IN SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING IS A DISGRACE TO THE NAME FLASH THOMPSON.
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN FLASH, THAT IS A MOVIE FLASH THOMPSON I CAN BE PROUD OF.
A Word About Stan Lee.
I don't wanna say Rest in Peace. Because that would mean admitting it's reality and I don't wanna do that. I don't want to accept it as true. I don't want to think about not ever seeing him again in any Marvel property, about not seeing his tweets and instagram posts. I never knew the man, only the legend, but I feel connected nonetheless. My heart aches, and while I cannot imagine what his family must be feeling, I know the world aches in equal measure.
Stan IS a visionary, a mind that brought to life so many of our favourite characters we grew up with. Not was, IS. Peter Parker/Spider-Man is by far my favourite Hero and I don't want to think that the man who gave me my hero is gone. The man who wrote my boy Peter Parker into this world can't be gone, he's practically Hero himself. The empire he, Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko made is testament enough to their brilliance, but still I never thought this would happen.
No matter how old he was I always thought Stan Lee would outlive me. In some way he does, the many bits of his life injected into our lives by proxy live on. His cameos, which let's be honest were far more than cameos, and his works live on and it's like he's still here. Part of him is still here with us. It pains me to think we won't see him again, so I don't want to think it. Pull out your Marvel movies, any of them. From the first Spider-Man to Venom. Pull out your games and any comics you have. Indulge in the fun he gave us. I know he'd want us to enjoy what he's made far beyond him.
So I won't say rest in peace, but I will say Excelsior, Stan.
...'Nuff Said.
