"We need to try harder to educate ourselves. We must admit that our singular experience cannot account for everyone else's. We must."
Rowan Blanchard is still my freaking hero.
It is disappointing. I would have loved to see Betty and Veronica get together. There is a male gay character who has been given some screen time and has love interests, but knowing how shows do they will feel they have fulfilled their queer quota with him, so Ronnie probably won't be bi even though i think that would make the most sense for her character.
Yeah, the sum total of my Archie/Riverdale knowledge is basically just the two posts I posted earlier. I guess we should be happy that there’s a gay character at all, but a gay person who doesn’t have any gay friends seems pretty unrealistic.
Sounds like the same treatment Supergirl is getting. Her sister is gay so now they’re forcing a toxic white boy love interest on Supergirl even though she’s had more chemistry and a stronger relationship with a woman. (And also ignoring the wonderful black man in her life.) They’ve hit their gay quota so they won’t even consider having another wlw couple.
disney channel has a limit on how far a show can go. thats why a show as popular as liv and maddie stopped at season four. GLC was at its final season and they lovingly added the two moms. but yea disney didnt cancel glc, its how they work their shows (up to four seasons max)
Suite Life of Zack and Cody/Suite Life on Deck. A combined six seasons. 158 episodes and a movie. On Deck got similar ratings to GLC.
Disney will break their four season rule if they actually like you.
It’s plausible that GLC really was just ending. I’ll acknowledge that. It’s quite a coincidence though.
Someone remind me to never mention GLC again.
Today my friend told me his cousin is the actress who plays smackle and I almost died
Neat. They say that everyone is no less than six degrees of separation away from everyone else.
tbh realizing i was bi actually helped me socially. Like i used to be extra awkward around guys bc im like 'i dont know how to act what's going on' but after i realized i was bi i was like 'well u like girls too & you've embarrassed yourself a long time w/out realizing it until now so really what's the difference with guys' basically, now i just don't really care & no longer have as much problems around guys because realizing I'm bi made me get rid of my self-made anxiety it's liberating actually
My experience with asexuality is similar. I used to be obsessed with the idea of a romantic relationship because I thought that’s what I was supposed to have. Realizing I was ace really freed me up to just enjoy friendships and socializing without worrying about whether or not it would lead to romance. I have other anxiety issues that aren’t so easily solved, but accepting myself and my asexuality really did open up my world.
I love Riley so much but I don't think this was out of character. Riley's made comments before about her being a good person and there are hints that she feels superior about it in some ways. She's also done things against her parents' wishes before and expected to get in trouble. It just so happens she crossed the line with Topanga this time. It's also a very teen thing to feel entitled. idk I personally thought it made a lot of sense. I also like knowing more about Topanga and Riley's dynamic
Woops, I think I let this ask go slightly past its “use by” date, but here we are anyway. I still say that the lesson from GM Her Monster would have fit better in season 1.
