I am super confused at why there is so much infighting in the Outlander tumblr world. Is it because people have different opinions about Sam and Cait relationship or what is it exactly? It's very weird...

Oh, Anon...how much time do you have? Actually, it's me, I don't have the time, energy, or inclination to give you a detailed answer. This fandom is exhausting. So, let me try to give you some history but I can't promise it will be comprehensive.

Outlander has different groups of fans and within those groups, there are subgroups. These are the groups I can think of off the top of my head: original Outlander book fans, Outlander TV show fans, Outlander book and TV show fans, Wishful Shippers, Lalalala head in the clouds everything is fine Shippers, Extreme Shippers, Tinhat Shippers, Money Grubbing Shippers, Pretend Shippers with ulterior motives, Shippers with expendable incomes, mostly retirees, Shipper Sympathizers, Non-Shippers, Truthers, NSTs (Non-Shipper Truthers), Mean Girls, Haters, Trolls, Cait onlys, Sam onlys, Tobias onlys, Rik onlys, etc.

The main fighting has always been between SamCait Shippers and their subgroups, and ANYONE who accepted the TRUTH/REALITY, that there is no real SamCait.

Back in the day it was ALL of the Shippers and their subgroups against ME because I was the first to post insider source info confirming Sam and Cait weren't dating in real life. After that, I became persona non grata and there was a relentless witchhunt against me conducted by all the shippers. Luckily as time went by and as it became CLEAR I had been telling the truth, more and more people were willing to speak out publicly against shippers and their attacks on anyone who got in the way of the ship. Prior to that, they wouldn't do so publicly, because they had seen the level of daily harassment I received, and they were understandably afraid.

Extreme Shippers still like to propagate the legend of OmniPurv, that I am every account and I am everywhere. But the reality is that there are now MANY people who are fed up with Extreme Shippers' bad behavior, and they're no longer afraid to speak out.

As I said in a previous post, the current Sam and Cait haters are mostly disgruntled ex-shippers or shipper sympathizers, and the few existing shippers ban together with them. Because the mean girls have support from ex-shippers and current shippers, the natural enemy is still me and other non-shippers, hence fighting continues. Also, mean girls like to provoke fights just for shits and giggles, they're always fanning the flames--they seem to get some sick thrill from it.

So, the fight is STILL between shippers and non-shippers, but as is human nature, familiarity breeds contempt, and there is the inevitable INFIGHTING within each main group.

Shippers have had fights among themselves, with even more subgroups forming. The great shipper diaspora occurred years ago when the ex-shipper queen, Jess finally figured out Puffy was a faux shipper with ulterior motives and banned her from the shipdom. Puffy took her lackey, Amanda and they descended to Hades to a life of crime, which is extremely reckless, given that Amanda works for a government agency and Puffy gave herself away. But I digress... 

On the non-shipper side, we also had our infighting, mainly due to one person, but most non-shippers figured out what was what, and that infighting is over. It's been peaceful on this side ever since certain people got some sense served to them and they left us alone.

Soooo, Anon, I guess that was my attempt at "long story short," which for me is usually "long story longer" 😅. I'm sure I missed some stuff, but, oh well.

A technique that’ll help some people in this online community (especially toxic fans) and soon to be bts fanbase rant

See a post that doesn’t suit your interest? It could be a ship post, or an “unpopular opinion.” Do you feel the need to say something rude and negative about this post and person (who posyed it) bc you just don’t like it, even tho no one is forcing you to even acknowledge its existence nor even hating on anything, just a normal post. Does it even bother you that there are 729478483 sane people wasting their precious time lecturing and educating you on how to be a respectful human being and politely tell you to gtfo bc you god damn fucking need it?

Let me teach you this special technique called the scroll up. It’s simple. Wen you see something you disagree on, you take a finger, any finger, put it on the screen of your phone or tablet, and scroll up. Simple. If you keep repeating this technique, you can enjoy your own interest without causing a fucking fan/ ship war. If the same thing keeps popping up, luckily, there’s a “see this post less” feature now, so, hey, makes life better.

In all seriousness, please god damn respect each others opinions (especially you taekookers and non shippers shitting on jikook, heck even some hardcore jikook shippers out there) Instead of trying to ruin everything, and trying to force us to ship your ship, or not ship at all, just admit to yourself you don’t like it and leave us the fuck alone. I’m god damn tired of seeing some of y’all bashing on each other, and I’m addressing this mostly to the bts shipper fan base, bc that’s where these god damn ship wars and the toxicity happen!!! It’s insane. Like why??? Why why why why????? Can we just ship in peace? Can we enjoy bts in peace? Can we just get along despite our opinions? CAN WE??!!!

Wanna know why people hate army? It’s bc of this. People bashing on one another, fan girls who just can’t control themselves, forcing opinions on others for the wrong reason, just pre-teens, or young teenage girls full of arrogance, immaturity and lack of common sense.

I’m not asking for this fan base to be perfect, I’m not ranting to get anyone’s attention, I’m doing this bc some of you need to be educated, to get out of your fucked up mind palace and open your mind, and i want us to be a better community, better people. To some of you, i look like a fool, or “fake,” but really, I’m just sharing my thoughts bc i need to let out some steam, and you’re just being a dick. Scroll up and move along.

As a dedicated member of the Supernatural fandom, i feel i have a right to say CALM THE FUCK DOWN

For innocent bystanders, im sorry. For people just getting into the fandom, please don't judge us based on this. For people who didn't get into Supernatural because of this, please give the show a chance.

I am tired of all the hate in this fandom. Not everyone is a part of it, but a fuck ton of people are and please just stop. Antis, aggressive destiel or wincest shippers, loud nonshippers, please just let people ship what they want or do not want.

You don't have to like it, but don't be a part of the asshole people who are ruining this fandom and its image. Most of us are good people minding our own ships and business and enjoying the show. But SOME PEOPLE do not. And they are loud. It needs to stop.

Supernatural is a good show. People shipping certain things doesn't hurt anyone. Not liking a ship doesn't mean you have to hate on everyone who does. The actors amd writers are NOT uncomfortable with certain ships. They know, by now, that it's the CHARACTERS, not them. And even cockles fans or J2 fans are fine with them. BE ACCEPTING OF OTHERS

WHY IS THIS SO HARD FOR PEOPLE

STOP THE AGGRESSION, THE HATE, STOP BLAMING OTHERS FOR WHAT YOU DO. IT IS NOT THAT HARD TO IGNORE SOMEONE OR SOMETHING.

Well, I did poke around on Tumblr and found AL’s name as you suggested we might. But also, that was the first time I’ve really dug around on this site and read some extreme shipper and anti-Sam blogs and OH MY GOD these people are completely insane!! I feel the need to go take a shower after reading all that delusional crap. Thank you for being a voice of reason, always. ❤️

Hahaha, Anon, you went over to the dark side. It's an alternate universe, that's for sure. Anyone with half a brain, some common sense, life experience, and glasses/contacts in place, can immediately see REALITY. Not saying you have half a brain, Anon, 😀 just emphasizing that it doesn't even take full brain power to look at the info on the shipper side and the non-shipper side, and quickly ascertain the TRUTH. But for some reason, this is an IMPOSSIBLE task for certain factions of this fandom.

As for me, thank you, I appreciate that! I don't know about voice of reason, more the voice of truth. And it's because I KNEW with 100% certainty that I had the truth on my side, since 2014, that I'm still here. It just took the fandom a few years to catch up. 😉

Is it because you think people won't believe you get support sent your way so you don't even bother posting most of the positive stuff? Wish you would. And say eff it to the haters. Okay, Anon, I'll bite. 😘 I do get a ton of harassment and bullying from SamCait Extreme Shippers, but I also get a lot of love from Non-Shippers and those on the side of TRUTH.

But since ES are always frothing at the mouth about me and posting LIES, I don't want to feed into it unnecessarily, so I don't post a lot of the positive Anons. But you've inspired me. So, here goes. Some recent LOVE, which I very much appreciate. ❤

I'm going to post the positive Anons from now on. Who cares what the haters say. So, keep 'em coming. We could all use more positivity in our lives, especially now. 🥰

Food for thought...

I’ve been shown that contemplatingoutlander is once again playing the victim, vilifying me, and doing what she does best--manipulating people to believe that what she’s done can be justified or excused. And that my, and other people’s, responses to her are overreactions and unwarranted. I don’t want to belabor this. I’ll try to be as concise as possible, but I’m wordy so I can’t make any promises. :-)

I offer you this. If it were just Paul and I who were angry with how CO treated us, or the libelous things she said about us, or her verbal abuse in DMs, then I could see coming to the conclusion that perhaps there is a personal vendetta against her that is out of proportion to what she’s done. But it’s NOT just Paul and I. It’s MANY other Non-Shippers who have had similar negative experiences with her and want nothing to do with her. How bad do things have to be with her that people literally have to BLOCK her? Not simply unfollow her, but block her.  That’s not just a disagreement or a difference of opinion, that’s literally a person being so angry, fed up or actually, scared, that they want to prevent any contact from her. Please stop and think about that. It’s not just me or Paul, it is the MAJORITY on this side on Tumblr. And worse, people who were friends with her. Think about  what could have been SO bad that her friends have her blocked. Again, logic would dictate that things have happened behind the scenes that people don’t know about. And that CO doesn’t want anyone to know about. 

Shippers and shipper sympathizers are a lost cause, but for those of you on this side who can’t understand the vitriol against CO. Instead of falling for CO’s manipulations that I’m the bully or what I say about her is out of proportion to what she says about me. Isn’t it more logical that it’s not that what CO has done to the rest of us isn’t that bad, it’s that you don’t know the full story...and also, that she hasn’t done it to you. 

To take her side without knowing everything that has transpired is to basically say that the REST OF US Non-Shippers are lying. Or that you don’t care enough to want to know the truth. So, I may have to start parting ways with some people. I don’t want fake friends. She is the abusive one, she is the bully, she is the master manipulator. If you think I’m lying about that, then I don’t need you as a friend or follower. If you haven’t seen what I and MANY other Non-Shippers have seen with regard to CO, consider yourself manipulated. Simple as that.

To save time... I thought I would just put it here. I am relatively new to this fandom, so I am only stating what I have gleaned from my observations. My point was, to your post and the replies, and is that I find the level of interest and detail the ES and Anti's know and are vested in is very similar. The amount of effort is the same. Answer me private or answer me public, which I'm sure will be wonderful fodder, but that is what I see.

1. You gave yourself away as a shipper or shipper sympathizer by using the term “antis.” NO ONE who is a non-shipper or neutral uses that term. So, anything you say after this will be taken as coming from someone who is already biased against this side. We’re not “anti” anything other than LIES. 

2. Extreme Shippers and Non-Shippers may have a similar level of interest and time invested in the Outlander fandom, but for us, it’s because we are here to post the TRUTH and counter Extreme Shippers’ continuous LIES. Last time I checked, the TRUTH was important and worth spending time on. 

3. You can continue to ask questions and participate civilly on my posts, but if you start to annoy me, I’m gonna block you. Them’s the rules. Fair warning. Thanks for stopping by.

Just When You Thought It Was Over....Hahaha, No But Seriously, I’m Going To Cut To The Chase...Sort Of...

So, as you’ve seen the last few days, there’s been a back and forth between @contemplatingoutlander and other Non-Shippers. CO said she was “done,” with the tit for tat, but of course she wasn’t, and it seems she’s decided take on each NST she feels has wronged her. 

I don’t want to get into a back and forth with her because it will never end, and also because, at this point, the details are beside the point. It’s all ancient history. Whenever I feel myself getting bogged down by the minutiae of a situation, I take a step back, and try to look at the complete picture--not each individual part, but the WHOLE of a situation. It’s only when we step back and out that we can see things more clearly. Seeing the forest, and not just the trees. Sadly, I’ve said all this before months ago. So, I’m going to copy and paste some of what I posted in a previous blog with some additions and edits.

CO this is for you directly. And I want to make it clear that I’m not posting this to incite others to “pile” on you (I tried to find a turn off comments option but I don’t see one, or I would have used it). I’m posting this because it’s the truth and gets at the crux of the matter, the bigger picture, the forest, if you will. And I hope that THIS time you actually take it to heart.

Here is the FOREST: People don’t care if everything someone says is completely accurate, and that person is right, and there is even proof to back it up, people care about how they are treated. That’s where you lost sight of human nature. It doesn’t matter whether everything you said about others is true, it doesn’t matter whether everything you said about me is true, none of that matters if in the process you treat people like sh*t. A person can prove to people that the Earth is round, but if that person is a b*tch while doing so, people won’t care. And that’s the bottom line… all your proof, your dissertations, your pleading for NST to take the higher moral ground, your crusade to show people certain negative things about me, and other NSTs, all ultimately fell on deaf ears because you, YOU, ContemplatingOutlander, and no one else, treated your fellow NST badly. Read that again. It’s really that simple. That’s the TRUTH you should be concerning yourself with. No one wants to be treated like sh*t, especially by a friend. THAT’S why you are blocked by so many. 

So, it’s not that NST were blind to my sins, and if only you, CO could prove to them what a “terrible” person I am, that they would then turn against me and align with you, it’s that they didn’t care about my “sins” because I didn’t treat them the way you did. You supposedly had all the “info,” all the “proof,” all the “ethics” and “morals,” yet you treated people badly. THAT'S why you are blocked and I am not. Simple as that.

I know you don’t believe me, but I don’t wish you any harm, CO, I truly don’t. I would hope the finger pointing, attacks, and unnecessary drama, which  no one WANTS, would stop, and we could all go back to having fun on here the way each of us individually see fit…like grown adults. There’s room here for ALL of us. 

One would think if THIS many people who were your friends at one time are telling you that you need to self-reflect and reevaluate YOUR behavior, that you would. You’re a smart lady, it can’t be that we’re ALL wrong, and you’re just “misunderstood.” Life doesn’t work that way. It’s like that analogy “If you walk down the street and you run into an a*shole, he’s an a*shole. If the next day, you walk down the street and you run into an a*shole, he’s probably an a*shole. If the day after that, you walked down the street and you run into another a*shole, he’s most likely an a*shole. If you walk down the street again and you run into another a*shole, YOU’RE the a*shole. Forgive the indelicate analogy, but hey, I’m me. :-)

I think I made my point. Just a suggestion, and you’re obviously free to take it or leave it, but I really, really, really hope you take the time to consider this: Stop looking outside of yourself and blaming others. Look INSIDE. Reflect. DO things differently. And maybe, just maybe, you’ll have fun here again, and you’ll have more friends. That’s all, folks.
