One yr old sister is terrified of bugs and doesn't have a good vocabulary yet and today I picked up garden snake which as since become her best friend "noodle bug"
had a real bonding experience with noodle tonight! he was up and around when I woke up this afternoon, then came out to greet grandma when she came into my room and started grooming himself right out in the open! did a little less than half of his left side the straight up laid down and stared at us which was so fucking cute im still not over it
after his loafing session he did a lap and settled himself on his favorite big rock to clean the rest of himself. it was fascinating to watch all his little mouthparts work around each leg and section of tergite. now he's just chilling spread out on the rock after doing tippy tappies.
i hope he knows how much i love him <3
the crickets i got to feed to noodle have been chirping all day and its honestly so soothing. reminds me of home

well, on the night I[kro] came into existence, idk what happened but something attached us to centipedes. their visage, their themes/meanings, them as animals, everything about them drew our eye. and then this past year I found noodle and ever since its been so fulfilling and yea a little scary sometimes but its been one of the best times in my life. I cant explain it, but I owe so much to him and his species as a whole.
plus they're gorgeous!! the sonoran desert(stripey baby), vietnamese giant(noodle's species!), haitian giant(they're pink!!!), giant red-headed(exactly what it says in the tin), blue legged(blue and brown is a goated color combo and I will not hear otherwise), house centipedes(a classic). and did you know their hearts run down their entire length? I think thats so cool!!
tldr I love centipedes a lot theyre my favorite
