Various options were considered, from traditional all-wood to modern wheels in carbon fibre. In the end, a graceful design was chosen with polished stainless steel spokes that radiate from a central hub, itself clad with teak that has been lovingly milled and fitted by hand. In addition, the detailing of daylight-readable control panels and surrounding seating areas were designed to optimise space and present a visual impression of low volume. JOIN ROYAL HUISMAN AT THE SINGAPORE YACHT SHOW The Singapore Yacht Show starts tomorrow. It is rapidly becoming one of the most influential and best attended superyacht shows in this fast-developing region. Royal Huisman will be exhibiting on the stand of its regional liaison Bart Kimman of Northrop & Johnson Asia. There is a good deal to update you on during the show. Under construction stage we have two 55m+ sailing yachts as well as an all carbon fiber sloop. Huisfit, the yard's specialist refit facility, continues to gain momentum and attention with projects such as Hyperion, Antares, M/Y Skat [Lürssen - 70m] as well as a conversion project. Adèle [Vitters - 55m] is currently at the shipyard for a major winter Huisfit project. Also noteworthy on the new build front is the ROYAL HUISMAN 43, which is available in a very ready-to-go format. Designed by Germán Frers (naval architecture) and Rhoades Young (interior styling) she has accommodations for 10 in 5 guest cabins. We are always delighted to discuss new build or refit projects that call upon all the skills, ingenuity and experience we can offer, not forgetting our ability to deliver the same high standards in either advanced carbon composite or aluminium construction.
