hmm. all these asks are spilling tea!! i honestly feel like both are in the wrong? like reader definitely made a joke about the wrong thing at the wrong time considering how unstable their relationship is and the worst part is they obv both know that they have feelings for each other to a degree, so that limbo makes the dynamic so much more delicate and flammable and reader had such a fat word vomit moment by trying to use it to make a lighthearted joke/conversation😭
