Hmm.. If you've been having a cold it might actually be just that, or some sort of complication, like an infection (for example bronchitis) or asthma :-/ Or you might be sensitive to changes in the weather or atmospheric pressure? That sometimes gives me a cough... If you can call someone with a medical education, like a nurse, it might help you calm down and decide what to do next. If you get breathless and wheezy when you sleep over at someone else's house that might be allergy... MORE HUGS!
I think I'll just sleep on it and see how I feel in the morning, and go over to the health centre place if it's still not better...
Seriously thank you very much I was feeling a little panicky because this is a weird and new situation and I don't want to add illness to that!!! xxx
I saw your post about your possible asthma attack and it worried me, because asthma can be serious business (I'm asthmatic too). What sort of asthma do you have and how come you haven't got an inhaler if it's happened before? I advice you to first of all get someone to stay with you. Then if you've been feeling it all day you probably need some form of medication, so you might have to go to the hospital. But take someone with you if you can. Let me/all of us know you're all right. HUGS!
Hi! Well quite a few years ago I was given an inhaler because I got really wheezy after vigorous exercise, but I didn't need to use it very much, and at a later check up they just didn't give me another one. But sometimes, for some reason it tends to happen when I sleep over at someone's house, I can get a little breathless and wheezy for a while, but it settles after I've slept at home...? (this has happened like twice/three times over the last 4 or 5 months??) But today I've been really short of breath and wheezy, like there's a pressure on my chest??? I just assumed it was the cold I've got, I've been coughing a lot too... But now I'm starting to question it?? The cough's died down a lot now but if I do cough it makes my breathing a little better for a few seconds???
I don't really know what to do, I'm not even signed up to the health centre yet. If it gets any worse I'm definitely calling the emergency uni number (they say to ring that in any emergency so idk)
