We weren’t supposed to end up like everyone else
Turns out there’s a reason people are like this…
We had it all planned out
Our future wasn’t up to us…
Where did all our friends go?
Gone if they really were ours to begin with…
Our brother?
We don’t talk any more…
What happened to us?
You died.
Idea: a dragon whose hoard consists of a tribe of lizard folk who only know the dragon as their chief.
This makes them the strongest tribe as they have the strongest chief. None of them question why darkscale everstrong never seems to age, their everstrong! Sure every once in a while they’ll take a mate they outlive and their children have magical abilities and can spit acid but that’s just cause they have such powerful magic
@analogue-dragon here’s blackvein! Would have drawn it myself but not in the art mindset currently
@ajolteonnamedsparky say hi to your roomie
Credit to @stargazer56cipher for the art
Had an idea
An ancient evil power sealed away for the rest of time is awakened and finds another slightly greater evil is trying to destroy the world they want to rule
Now they most team up with the descendants of their foes, minions and those that never knew them
How will it end? Will they be redeemed by the end or will they need to be sealed away again and can they be?
World building idea who knows what at this point
All of civilization lives upon mountains scattered across the no lands, dangerous ever shifting landscapes ranging from abyssal seas, oceans of sand, endless plains of ice and ashy wastes of ever burning debri
Going between “islands” is extremely dangerous done in caravans protected by way keepers
Way keepers: important members of society who guide and protect travelers of the no lands. Some use magic a few share bonds with wasteland creatures others wield mighty weapons of immense power
New idea
Three continents each with their own magic system
One draws from magical creatures that inhabit this continent
Another draws from spirits
Finally a continent we’re the inhabitants draw magic from themselves
Each will have their own feel. One has an alchemical magitech like feel, another a more typical high fantasy and the third a more historical fiction setting
Wanted to write some things concerning necromancy (and animancy) in my world
First off in my world souls are just tightly wound magic shaped by the living things life. Every living thing has a soul but things like plants and insects have weak easily bipassed souls while fae and dragons have powerful almost unbeatable souls.
Second a living soul is very hard to bypass or affect while a dead soul is much easier. Plants and weaker animals can easily be charmed and controlled, animals larger than say a rat put up more resistance, mortals require a lot of power or skill to control and greater creatures are a legendary feat
Thirdly dead souls are the pattern left behind after a thing has died. Only mortals and occasionally animals leave behind remnants. Dead souls cannot learn or change as they are only the left behind memory of the living
Finally as souls are magic they can be controlled by the magically gifted or educated. As previously stated a living soul is hard to be manipulated by an outside source but a dead soul or your own soul can be manipulated much more easily. Those who manipulate souls are animancers and those that specifically work in dead souls or in animating remains are necromancers
