One of the funniest fucking things in the world to me is deciding that characters who realistically should not give two shits about Norman Osborn would absolutely beat the shit out of him. Even more hilarious if it's for made up reasons. I have two OCs who are Loki's daughters, and my bestie has an OC who's Quentin Beck's daughter. Those two love their kids. They're killing Norman the second he utters a word about how he treats Harry

Something something cinematic parallels between Harry feebly defending MJ to his abuser with "this girl is important to me" ultimately ending with Harry folding to the man who hurts him because what Norman thinks supercedes his feelings and Harry's attempt to get out of revenge with the "but Pete's my best friend" line to (his hallucinations of) Norman because again, what Harry feels doesn't matter if he thinks his father feels differently.

Today it occurred to me that the raimi trilogy features two characters with abusive fathers, one who essentially only knows how to keep enduring abuse under the hopes that he’ll eventually gain the affection he wants from his abuser and the other only knowing how to run away from relationships at the first sign of any trouble to ensure nobody can ever abuse her like that again.

God it was kinda baller as hell for the raimi trilogy to write Norman Osborn as essentially a distilled idea of harmful and toxic masculinity, make him creep on and threaten to sexually assault an 18 year old girl… then kill him by having him use his own glider to stab himself in the dick/allegorically castrate himself.
