i knew about jeannie & shooting her from afar but not that. i thought that his wife was just kidnapped?

she was (well, sold, but same difference) but boone went after her (as he should have!) and then instead of idk, asking manny or an ncr patrol to help or making a plan or trying to brave the legion patrol himself (even though he might have died) or even doing ANYTHING at all besides shoot her, he uh,

his explanation in-game is that he only had one bullet in his rifle (???) and had to off her before they got to cottonwood cove or All Hope Was Lost (?????????) w/o giving her a chance to decide her own fate and w/o giving her agency in her own trauma \o/

what do you dislike about boone?

murdered his wife instead of doing literally anything else and everyone in the fandom seems okay with this (or, at the extremes of apologism, pull out his ptsd as a reason to go easier on him for his actions. what.)
