Hello! I've been with the DOS Recursive Fanfiction since it started I'm going through and rereading, only I can't find what I'm looking for. I remember reading one of your Many Gardens of Shikabane-hime and I'm looking for a particular one where Kakashi was ROOT and Shikako was...a soulmate or something? And there was a bunch of other stuff like the pack and the Dead Wastes, is there a place you moved that to? Thanks!

Video game! The full name is Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel I

It’s a game set in the Legend of Heroes world (meaning I should really be playing Legend of Heroes: Trails of the Sky trilogy first because there’s lots of backstory on some of these characters that i’m missing out on) where the main cast are all students in Thors Military Academy (basically an Officer’s School for people approximately high school age)

As much as I gush over Machias and flail about him, I actually like ALL the characters? And I’m having a Big Problem figuring out who the actual Big Bad is, because a lot of the adults are shown to be... well... adults? They all have motivations and plans that aren’t very black or white? And I legitimately dislike several of them on moral grounds but like... I understand their position and their reasoning?

And Rean, the main character, has the traditional Self-Sacrifice protag flaw and like... he’s been legit called out on it by at least two of his classmates? It’s not being treated as a Good Thing.

Anyway, I super love the game and I’m hopeful that Trails in the Sky will be equally fascinating when I go to play that series next.

How strongly is it "alluding" to it? Cause just mentioning it doesn't seem to require upping the current rating.

Well, I guess that depends on the level of description of torture? Like, if it's very vivid, lots of gore and such, you should probably raise the rating. If it's like a milder level, where yes, they're being torture but it's like what you would watch in a PG-13 movie, you can probably add a warning or two at the beginning and be fine. My opinion anyway.

.....what’s the line on a PG-13 movie that crosses over to Adults Only? Because I think this is straddling it. ...I’ll just leave a snip here later then?

What's your favorite AU that spawned from Dragon Eclipse? Inquiring minds what to know. O.O

Uuhhh... oh boy. Okay, so if we’re only counting the AUs that I’ve published, it’s probably a toss-up between the DE/DW crack crossover and just the World-hopper Kaito concept in general?

If we’re including AUs that I HAVEN’T posted yet... I’ve got a DE/Lilacs cross where Erich follows the teens back from the invasion that I’m really looking forward to playing in as soon as I reach that point in mainline DE. Having Erich interacting with early Kaito plus all the other teens being protective of Kaito is going to be so much fun.

But, I mean... Honestly I’m surprisingly interested in Shattered Eclipse again? After that bit of brainstorming on here that resulted in me actually having a direction besides emotion release, I’m kinda looking forward to writing Uryuu becoming a Kuchiki and all the hilarity that results.

Yeah, but you’re still trying, and still writing when you can, and that’s damn impressive on its own. I mean, right now I’m struggling to get, like... anything written at all, even self-indulgent AUs. But I think I’ve figured it out, given that the temps have been plummeting, on top of work stress, so I’m entering hibernation mode in preparation for NaNo.

(Oh man, 50k words... maybe if I focus right I can finish the rough of DE this year? That would be grand. Probably won’t be happening, but it would be grand.)

WIP number 4 for 500.

Death's Soul Surgeon. This one I started and last updated in - oh god 2019.

Law's personality swap ability was always intriguing to me, since I couldn't quite work out how it fit with the rest of his abilities. Swapping souls made more sense than just somehow swapping intangible personalities. So I combined it kind of with Bleach in how souls pop out of the bodies with the chains, and a little based off Greek mythology. I was also inordinately pleased with myself for wordplay in the title.

I've got a couple of ideas for future parts written down, including a follow up to after the Dressrosa scene, and another scene to follow the panic attack. And then there's lines that I wrote with no context and it's been so long that I have no clue what they were for. Whoops!

I could probably add some fun things for Wano (given Law awakened his fruit there) and the after Wano stuff actually. We'll see if anything marinates while I think on it.
