Parade of Nations – North Macedonia

    North Macedonia, formerly known as ‘former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia,’ formed its National Olympic Committee in 1992 and participated in its first Olympics as a country at the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics. They haven’t hosted any Olympic Games, but they’ve participated in 6 Summer Games and 6 Winter Games. The Olympic sport in which North Macedonia has medaled is Wrestling.

    “The red color of the national flag is the ground color, and the yellow color is the thread of the ancient shrine. Using the national flower poppy and arabesque grapes, the landscape is rich in nature, including the church of St. Johann Caneo overlooking Lake Ohrid, the citizen's square in Skopje, the capital, and the stone bridge. After the earthquake that struck the capital in 1963, I also wrote in the name of Kenzo Tange, who contributed to city planning, as a proof of friendship between Japan and North Macedonia.”[1]
