Their whirlwind of a romance was unexpected, especially seeing as Aysun was his daughter's close friend. Ricardo never had the urge to cross that line until one night they were alone and he could no longer contain his attraction for the young woman. He'd been alone for so long now it felt and she was the first person who showed any sort of appreciation and kindness towards him. This was all his fault and he was well aware of it but he wasn't sure if he could handle not having her in his life now that he had her in his bed. "I know you always say I have nothing to worry about but eventually everything good comes to an end." Ricky said with a frown, thumb brushing against her cheek for the briefest of seconds before he dropped his hand, "And I don't want you to get hurt because of me and my selfish ways.."

Ivy may have looked the part of the successful woman used to these sort of functions, but the truth was she was just a regular girl. She was good at her job, made enough to get by, and managed to have some semblance of a social life outside of the office. When she’d gotten the company wide invite she’d fully intended to go let loose and go all out - ugly Christmas sweater and all. The same as she had at any other office party, but then the dress code reminder followed and she almost decided to skip it entirely. Never one to be considered as high maintenance as the rules implied. 

But she was new here and the party would be a chance to get to know some of her coworkers away from their screens. And if not, then at least it was open bar and on a Friday. Double plus bonus, she didn’t have to worry about scumbags trying to impose their belief that a few shots would buy their way into her pants. So why not take advantage and indulge a little on their dime?

Her eyes scanned the room before she made her way over to the bar, stepping up beside another patron and ordering her favorite - whiskey on the rocks. “The good stuff,” she added, pointing at a bottle of Blanton’s just before they left to go make the drink. “I can’t believe they have that,” she said with a small laugh, making small talk with the gentleman next to her. Completely unaware that she was speaking with the owner’s son. “Might as well get while I can though, right?” she asked pretty rhetorically. “Isabella,” she introduced herself. “But everybody calls me Ivy.”
