Councillor Maar Cherenyel, also known locally by Northrock people as King Maar, is an astonishingly huge Wuul compared to most of his species. Even if the average Wuul is somewhat the size of the gray wolf pictured here, bigger members are quite rare - and smaller ones may be as small as a tall horse.
Another notable difference between Councillor Cherenyel and his people is the color of his eyes. All of the Wuul have a slightly glowy, unified eye color. He owns slit pupils and three colors - that go even as far as looking like literal fire coming out of his body if he were to be angered. There is no other known Wuul displaying this unusual eye coloration, and it is unknown whether he altered them magically or had them naturally.
The last notable difference between the Councillor and the average Wuul is longevity. Remarkably old Wuuls have been as old as 120, while the average Wuul has a life expectancy of 80 years.
Councillor Maar Cherenyel has been alive for the past 300 years as far as we're aware.
His "human form" is, contrary to most other things about him, not out of the ordinary for a Wuul. Keeping the original Wuul eyes as any other, he will mostly be uncomfortably tall for any average person talking to him, which is consistent with his Wuul form.
He has, thankfully, proven to be an ally and a good Councillor whenever he has been elected (which has happened four separate times in the last 20 election cycles (about a hundred years)). It is known that he was part of the people who pushed Northrock to join Etynda, along with lady Meleria Ravenlia.
[Personal notes, found scrawled in a hasty handwriting behind a copy of this report : I would personally still advise her Imperial Majesty to beware while dealing with the Councillor : I for one do not believe Maar Cherenyel to be a true Wuul, but something else, disguised as a Wuul for the last 300 years. Unfortunately, no one seems to care - especially not anyone in the Council, as they trust him entirely. Please be mindful. I have never thought him to have good intentions.]
Lady Meleria Ravenlia officially died in 1043 A.E., as translated into the Etyndari calendar.
It is less known that she had in fact turned herself into a lich months prior to faking her death. However, there is definite proof of their activity both in Nordrock and later in Etynda to this day - it is unclear whether they are still a lich or have now ascended to elemental lever.
She is most known for being the last head of the Ravenlia family to have been at war with the Wuul of Northrock, and to have been an instigator of the peace between her people and the Wuul.
After unifying Northrock, she has concentrated on better understanding and honing the craft of her family, necromancy, and those studies have culminated in the already-mentioned lich transformation. She has been a silent, but important part of Northrock even after her supposed passing : she pushed for the country to join Etynda in 1081 A.E. along with King Maar Cherenyel, even though she had been supposedly dead for 38 years. Their friendship has indeed not stopped after their funeral, and Lady Meleria is sometimes spotted stalking the shadows of the Imperial Council's corridors.
They work closely with the network and have also tutored several apprentices, especially when magic was needed. The raven mask has made its way into being the mark of an ally to the network.
