Awww dude I totally feel u. Like I almost forced myself to go to a party last night to socialize but woop I felt hella uncomfortable and left! So I totes feel u
Parties are just seriously not my thing. I don’t really drink, I don’t like meeting new people, and I don’t like dancing. College parties are an embodiment of about 80% of what triggers my social anxiety. I know I need to socialize but I’d take almost anything over walking into a room full of drunk strangers.
Don’t get me wrong, it’s very kind of my roommates to want to include me in their social circles, and I’m not knocking them for enjoying partying. I know that they just want me to be their friend and they don’t want me to feel left out. It’s a nice change of pace to be surrounded by people who want me around.
I just don’t want to go to parties. Especially not when it’s technically not even a weekend for me, since I work at 8:00 on Saturday/Sunday mornings. It’s two hours past my bedtime and all I wanted was to get some sleep tonight.
Hi! Do you know of any books similar to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest?
Hi! Perhaps try:
The Mandarins by Simon de Beauvoir
A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
The Golden Notebook by Doris Lessing
The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath
Galápagos by Kurt Vonnegut
Mrs Dalloway by Virginia Woolf
Thérèse Raquin by Émile Zola
Enjoy the recommendations! :)
