The Nosk that had been Takkshi has been slain. It lies dead in a room filled with wreckage, bugs lying about the room. Some may be injured, some may be dead. But how many were slain? The beast’s attack is over, and the time to assess injuries is now.
I will be rolling 5d6 to determine the number of bugs who would have been killed had nobody interfered.
The result: 16. Sixteen bugs slain by the Nosk during its rampage.
But it’s not true that nobody interfered, is it? So this number cannot be accurate.
I privately decided when this event began that each anonymous or non-character-specific ask would save one bug, and each non-anon ask or character interaction would save two. Over the course of the Nosk’s rampage, help was given from:
@aces-and-ashes, who I believe was not character specific (correct me if I am mistaken)
This totals 15 bugs saved. Only one bug was slain in the attack. This is truly remarkable; the bugs of Pharloom and Hallownest came together to largely avert a catastrophe.
As for the one bug who died… they will be remembered. The funeral may continue, even if not for who we all had thought.
Pharloom is a troubled kingdom, but perhaps with the hidden Nosk threat slain, it shall carry one trouble less.
