Though it’s the same scenes, watching school days as an anime adaptation does change flow/perception especially with different subtitles. What I like is that it’s made much more clear that Shirakumo’s talent is in combat and that’s what he’s most passionate about. “His grades aren’t remarkable” but you can see visibly that he’s a talented fighter. You could glean all that just from his hero outfit, but watching the training sequence before his conversation with Aizawa about erasure provides the context that he’s likely already been thinking about the application of erasure because again, fighting is his specialty!!
Had he lived he’d probably jump at the opportunity to help Aizawa learn quirkless combat lol
