I miss when ads were a single click and then they’re gone. Now every ad has a minimum of three phases where you watch a video, exit the still frame of fake gameplay, and then exit the app download. That doesn’t even touch on the ones that forcibly take you to another app after opening a tab in safari without you ever touching the screen.

I hate advertising. I hate that you can’t do anything without companies jumping down your throat with mostly bullshit ads. I hate that billboards exist. I hate that every company unanimously decided to make their ads longer and longer. I hate that ad blockers try to charge you money and there are in app purchases to remove ads. I hate that my attention has become commodified. I hate that there’s nothing I can do about it.

I do not like capitalism lmao #but it’s a good show of the progression of past capitalism into the current late stage #capitalism has stopped caring about the individual human consumer and has shifted to the corporate consumer. you can see that in the ads #a lot of jingles people remember are old. they are from times when a lot of ads were genuine creative works #I just have such a hard time believing that ads these days are genuinely trying to capture the attention of everyone #it really feels like a closed economy that hovers above us but rains their shit and piss all over us #truly a corporate circlejerk that we’re all living under against our will

I gave myself my first injection of orencia today (it’s immunosuppressive) and I’ve heard only great things about it, I haven’t had any side effects so far, so I’m really really really hoping it works

#they usually give it to people who have otherwise been medication resistant #which is me. hydroxychloroquine helps me not die but it doesn’t help me function at all #and all the other pill options were a bust #and i found out I have a sulfa allergy which knocks out two common pill treatments #so.. I’ve literally just been on HCQ #and SUFFERING #for the uninitiated hydroxychloroquine is a comparatively very safe autoimmune medication #and it helps you not die but it’s rarely fully effective by itself #people who are doing fine on HCQ by itself are extremely lucky

One day I’ll rewrite my initial dadgiri rant that got a surprising amount of notes because I didn’t word a lot of it very well due to having like.. 5 followers at the time of writing lol I truly didn’t think anyone would see it at all, let alone agree

#I don’t want it to come across that I don’t think they care about each other #they do a lot but it’s very complicated and very interesting and I’m tired of fanon just like..#not even glancing at their canon dynamic #ironically (because people who like this stuff tend to be sensitive abt dark topics) it can quickly border into insensitive territory by #just completely ignoring all the abuse that is actively happening and that the two of them are enabling for each other #like it’s just a weird offshoot of fanon that was created through smash comics #god I need LOV fanon to die it hasn’t been even remotely resembling of these characters in a decade

I don’t know how to explain it but I use a different part of my brain for my OCs. Caring about my OCs like my blorbos isn’t natural for me and I have to keep training it like a muscle

I’m partial to the idea that Shirakumo never remembers Midnight post war, whether she is alive or dead. I feel like it’s potential for a lot of good conflict. I’ve been getting an increasing amount of update pressure comments on no mirrors and I’ve had to put in a mental policy to just delete them because it’s very hard not to verbally strangle people

#AFO instructing Kurogiri to continue to protect Shigaraki was in effect saying ‘protect my vessel as it’s my final shot at survival’#AFO doesn’t gaf about Shigaraki. actually I’ll take it further. he fully hates him #and views possessing him as a violent destruction of the Shimura family #AFO doesn’t see Kurogiri as a person but he likes him as a possession #he doesn’t even seem to begin to process that Kurogiri could and did betray him #I don’t even think he registered it #there was a lot going on but the fact that it didn’t even cross his mind says a lot #I think it’s two pronged.. he has full belief in his control over him but also can’t fathom that Kurogiri might want to leave lol #(Zen is very lonely)
