I modeled every guest room in the motel, as well as the receptionist area. I really like to have something behind every door. No door textures, but real rooms you can enter, even if it taking a little longer to complete. :'3c

So much for this place. I fear my game will cause me to get banned because it involves swearing, shooting, killing, drugs and crime. ;W;
In any case, a reminder that I am still on Twitter, posting mostly the same as here, except not as verbose:

Thank you, pornbots on Tumblr ;w;
So it seems my account is getting discovered by a lot of porn-accounts on here.
At least it makes me feel a little popular to see all these likes on my posts. It’s a good little morale boost, at least.
Working on making her sit nicely in the car is harder than I thought thanks to Mecanim... ;_;
How to improve Logan
So I recently saw’r the Logans in the cinemars and although it was entertaining it could have been done a whole lot better. Judging by the trailer I thought I was in for a solemn, contemplative, slow and thoughtful movie about a man’s journey to his grave. I did not expect the polar opposite of the Drive-trailer. Anyhow, on to how to fix:
STEP 1: REMOVE THE VILLAINS
This movie had no need for violent deaths, henchmen, fighting, brutal decapitations, hidden genetic experiments or any of the action that you would expect in a Marvel-movie. Although the guy with the mechanic arm was cool, he only set up for a useless chase that lasted the whole movie. The cholo-fight right at the start of the movie ham-handedly served the purpose that the Wolverine was old and weak now. This would be much better exposed slowly throughout the movie the more we get to know him in his current state.
Transigen as an organisation was ok to show as the origins of X-23, but it shouldn’t be more than that. So it would have been better to just have X-23 show up at Logan’s “farm” and tell him that she needs to get to that safe place and that’s that. No need to make her fight ten mercenaries. Just an introduction, and acceptance from Logan that Xavier tells her she is a mutant like them, and that she is Logan’s child. Which leads to the second step.
STEP 2: FOCUS
This will immediately follow step 1, as no villains would also mean that there would be less characters to consider. The problem with a lot of Marvel-movies is that they have too much going on at the same time, and there is a huge character inflation (Deadpool did it right in this way, though, I just hope the sequel won’t suffer from character inflation). You can hardly get to know or follow an important character, or even have any meaningful scenes without quickly jumping from one thing to the other with nervous cuts. One of the best scenes in the movie was Xavier telling Logan to settle down. It’s those little things, however this scene immediately descended into bloodbath thanks to the villains.
The movie should have been about Wolverine, Xavier and X-23 making their way to X-23′s “safe space”, and the people they meet along the way. It should be simpler and with no deaths or strings attached like it currently is. Caliban wouldn’t need to be in the movie either. There is already plenty of action between Xavier and Logan as it is.
STEP 3: SHOW MORE FRIENDLY PEOPLE
The doctor who wanted to help Logan was a really good scripted character. Not much is explained around that scene, but what he says and does is what many of us could relate to, and along with the farmer family, brings a bit of humanity to this movie. Luckily he did not get massacred, which brings me to the farmers.
What should have happened is after the traveling trio of mutants rescue the farmers’ horses, they travel to their place to rest. At that place, when the water stops working, Logan and the father travel to the water pump to fix it. At that point two cars show up with a local sheriff and loads of guys with wrenches, hammers and pliers, by which the sheriff goes “Hey buddies, I got a call that the water wasn’t working in this area. Need a hand?” Then they fix the pump together. After that they drive the father and Logan back to the farm and tell them if they need anything don’t be afraid to call. The farmer tells Logan that everything is fine now and we’re all friends around here. The next day the mutant trio says goodbye and leave the farm in good standing.
STEP 4: ALTERNATE ENDING
So following the previous steps, the other kids that X-23 talks about should not exist except for on paper. When they arrive at the spot, they see that it’s empty and X-23 was led on by a comic book. Xavier tells X-23 that she has the ability to make fantasy real, and that Logan should help her out. This now becomes a leason in reality vs fantasy, growing up and taking responsibility, instead of what it was like in the movie where a magic invisible line in the forest would stop the cyborg mercenaries and X-24 from crossing, but somehow magically allow the mutant children across.
CONCLUSION
Wasted potential, misleading trailer, and way too little Johnny Cash along with the aforementioned steps make this a film more of a miss than a hit. If you vemently disagree, come at me.
Heat part 3
Continuous temperatures indoors over 30 degrees C and lots of heavy graphic work for clients have had a huge impact on my computer and my life. I have to work nightly to avoid the extreme temperatures and screaming inside the PC when I do my 3D-work. I’ve tried everything to lower the internal PC temperatures but when the PC has to process a render efficiently there is nothing really I can do.
Now, I’ve started to get bluescreens with hardware errors and it’s most likely caused by my video card (nvidia, I know... but they have CUDA-cores).
This makes doing my job very difficult and also makes me work a lot less efficiently. Maybe this is why regular people have summer holidays.
I had to downgrade my vidya card driver
So apparently the latest GeFors-drivers 361.** reduced my GTX780 to a stuttering mess. I have gone back to 359.06 now as they have worked the best.
It’s really annoying though, as I couldn’t figure out immediately what caused it, and it cost me a few hours of work time. :/
Rubbing it in
Everytime I see someone write an article on some place online with a larger presence about how hard it is to be a creative person in the arts, it feels like they’re going: “nyah nyah I got exposure while you are still being ignored, now buy my stuff and help me plug my patreon, it’s all about me”
Trust me I have tried to get gaming sites to cover Catmouth Island, but this is mostly (99.9%) how it has gone down:
Me: “Oh, your site has covered that, would you cover me?”
Them: *nothing*
