This is brilliant.

If they do follow the buddie route — which I fully believe they will — the construction is simply and purely brilliant.

Buck and Eddie's heart-to-heart was a smart, definitely necessary, and amazing conversation because not only Eddie opened up and allowed himself to the tiniest bit of vulnerability, but Buck could tell him just what he needed to hear.

Buck didn't say things like "give it time" or "try some more", no. He simply said "Hey, you idiot. The only way out of your relationship takes two broken hearts if you keep it like that".

He said "I've been Ana", referring to Abby and their relationship's fallout.

He said "I've been Ana" — I've been fooled.

"I've been Ana" — I believed in happiness when the other half was struggling and suffering.

"I've been Ana" — you saw it, Eddie. You saw just how broken I was when Abby appeared again.

I can't say just how much it was perfectly set. The only thing Eddie ever knew about Abby was how she had left Buck in pieces by not loving him the way he wanted to and deserved to be loved.

Eddie only saw the aftermath. He only saw Buck's hurt.

And now he's that that is the only way out of the mess he got himself into — he needs freedom, and one heart needs to break. Before the other stops.

one downside of going to a school where the vast majority of people are neurodivergent is that the moment i leave here im gonna have to learn to like… look people in the eye for most of a conversation again. or generally be a “normal person”. masking? i hardly know her!
